I am new to the I Ching, just discovered it a few months ago, and I have started doing my own readings. In September I broke up with my partner. We were together for a a few years and the attraction was strong and immediate. The connection was very strong and I can say almost karmic - it's one of those where you know what the other person feels or thinks without speaking, finishing each other sentenced and jokes. I honestly thought we were destined to be together, but I could see he wasn't ready and he was struggling. A lot of things happened in the last 2 years, including the sudden loss of my father, that was a massive blow for me. Things really deteriorated from then and we ended the relationship in a really explosive manner during the summer - but in a way that I am still struggling to comprehend how and why it happened.
I asked the I Ching the following questions and received the following hexagrams in response:
Will he and I ever get back together again?
Received hex 20 unchanging
Will he and I get a chance to rekindle our love in a healthy way?
Received hex 44.4 changing to 57
What role, if any, will he play in my future?
Received hex 15.4.5 changing to 31
How should I proceed wrt him?
Received hex 62 unchanging
As I am new to this, I am trying to make sense of the messages. It seems that the I Ching is suggesting that right now the time is more about watching and reviewing what happened - I guess for both of us - and a time of understanding the mistakes of the past and changes we each have to make personally. Which makes sense.
The next decisions confuse me. As I am subjectively influenced and maybe I want to see a positive turn of events, I wanted to post this here to get any help that you can provide in terms of interpreting the messages I have received. Any help or insights would be much appreciated!
