How to become emotionally and financially independent: 2 unchanging.

and the second one if i should do a change on my career and got: 1.2.6 > 49


would love to have some inputs on this as im pretty lost with my life atm...

2 UC. I believe the first reading was clear: you must be open to any kind of opportunity, whether that be personal or professional. Do not take an aggressive approach... just try to look around and see what comes up.

1.2.6 > 49. This reading is encouraging for change. Hexagram 1 is the opposite of 2 in terms of action - it's all about taking initiative. Moving line 2 says that if you are true to yourself, you will encounter great fortune. Your career change must make you align more closely to your authentic self. Line 6 encourages you to lay low and really think about this: The time is not right for change. Don't do anything rash. However, if you follow your first reading's advice, I believe you will encounter success.

Hex 2. The Receptive uc reminds us that what manifests in our lives is the result of what we are receptive to. Thus as advice for becoming independent I think it is telling you to be particularly aware of what you respond to, what you surround yourself with. Plant positive images into your unconscious. The Optimist sees the doughnut the Pessimist sees the hole.

I think 1.6 might put an emphasis on "real" - just don't be unrealistic about it. Find a sweet spot between a career that will get you what you want, but that's a change you can actually make.

Also 2 is Receiving and so I wonder if this answer questions your idea of 'financially independent'. Don't worry about what you are receiving. And you aren't only asking about financial independence but also emotional independence. I don't think 2 screams 'be a go getter and make huge strides towards being an independent unit' I just don't. There's ease and gentleness in the answer, the earth supports all of us, none of us are independent from her, we rely on her. First don't worry too much about dependencies you have whether financial or emotional. Also be open to receive more in all kinds of ways. I think life is offering us way more good stuff than we are willing to receive because we may think we are unworthy of things that just come to us with no effort.

Re the change in your career it seems there maybe are opportunities arriving (1.2) but don't ask too much of yourself (1.6). There's a danger of overextending yourself in line 6, of not knowing when to stop or when too much is too much. You don't want to land a responsible position and then suffer from burnout. I actually think 2 is the antidote to burnout here. You can move forward but there is no need to lose all support or worry about reliance.
