Relationship: 20.2.5->4 and 28.2->31

How would you read this?

Two readings about a relationship that seemed to be going well and increasing in intensity, but then one person stopped contacting the other for no apparent reason, after constant contact.

After a few days of silence, the question was asked: "Is this silence a sign their interest is waning?"
Hexagram 20 (Contemplation/View) with changing lines 2 and 5 --> Hexagram 4 (Innocence).

Interpreted this to mean that the person was silent because of issues more weighty than the relationship (line 5), and not to take this personally (line 2). Hexagram 4 says: "Don't act like an adolescent!"

The following day (still no contact), the question was asked: "How to best handle this strange breaking off of contact and revive the relationship?"
Hexagram 28 (Preponderance of the Great) with line 2 changing --> Hexagram 31 (Influence/Wooing)

Interpreted this to mean that the relationship would be renewed in time (line 2) and increase in intensity (Hexagram 31).

Line 20.2 says that you are not seeing the bigger picture, you are only thinking of yourself, no contact, everything has ended. You need to think about the other person and realize that many things could be occupying their time, busy, sick, family etc.

Line 20.5 Do you think it is your fault? If you have done nothing wrong then you can't be guilty.

Hex 4 Be patient, we see that you are eager but give people space to do other things, love is great but it can also be very blind as well.

Regarding 20.5 - there are many rumors and untruths flying about in the background, and an underlying concern was that the person heard something bad and believed it. How did you derive that from this line, Willowfox? It is very accurate!

Also, I had a general interpretation question for you. It sounds like when you interpret the hexagrams, you look at them both as part of the answer. I had thought that the initial hexagram shows the situation as it is now, while the second hexagram shows the way things might evolve. Can you say a few words about your approach?

Just going through my earlier posts to give updates so that people can see how their interpretations worked out.

The day after WF's response, the person contacted me and said that they had been quite ill. Communications then resumed and the relationship has since increased in intensity and closeness.
