renting vs buying

Hello

I am in a dilemma.
My present rental lease is expiring end of April. I have three options..stay where I am staying...rent another apartment in the same community..or buy a condo. My husband is moving out of country for a consulting assignment for one year so will be just visiting once or twice so its me and my little one

1. my present townhouse(rental)-Cons- it is more expensive( though i can afford it), my little one has some health issues and will be getting therapy...people around are intrusive and sometimes are very condescending, gossipy and opinionated and my little one who is getting better and infact recovered quite a lot since the last year and if god wills would be okay suffers from low esteem around the neighbors and their kids(..since they have stereotyped her to what she was a year back and not to what she is right now. and do not behave nicely with her and sometimes too nicely...
Also we rented this townhouse since last 4 years and there has always been some trouble or the other( that could be mere superstition).
pros-it is very safe..i.e everybody knows everyone
I asked "am i and better off renting where i am right now" I got 44.3

2. renting some other place in the same rental community- little less expensive, same neighborhood and community but a high rise apt or a condo..people do not interfere since these are rental condos and not very closely situated townhouses...limited interaction and I have control on who I want to interact with and when ..also very safe since it is the same rental community

I asked "is renting the highrise condo/garden apt better choice the the other two"

I got 32.4

3. Buy a condo in a nice but different community
-lots of privacy ...
-save money..since i would be owning not renting
only issue is safety( though it is supposed to be safe) since I have been renting and living in my present rental community since 2001 and I am very comfortable in my present community and leaving it to own a condo in a new set up ....and here i start thinking..(

Agrees with Wf's assessment.

Will add that the Yi encourages simplicity and necessity in your purchase considerations. That could also be interpreted as saying it's a buyer's market, and you can get quite a lot for less.

22.4,5 changes to 13, which is relatedness to your surroundings, possibly including friendly neighbors.

Thanks Willowfox and Meng for your insights. I did finally decide to buy a townhouse and not extend my current lease. Today I saw the first house ...it is very small, no basement , no playground around for kids on upside it is newer, lot of big windows and light( that is a plus), nice area... there is a $8000 tax credit if we buy it before April 30th and this is the only option available ..i have mixed feelings and maybe that 8000 dollar is helping the confusion...the agent said she is expecting more houses to open in May in the surrounding area

I would say no, don't buy it as it seems your "emotions" are running away from your sense of realism. There is nothing of a practical nature about this hex as it is about bringing people together for a "divine" purpose. Its like a dream, but the dream can soon burst when reality bites you. I know the text talks about temples and they are usually solid enough but people don't actually live in temples where prays are offered up. (The monks in Asia live in small buildings that adjoin the main temple, not in the temple where the religious ceremonies are held).

I agree with WF. It wouldn't be advisable to buy the house.
