In the very first post I made a few weeks ago, I had 36 and your response included the following:

Recently, the counselor we are seeing asked about our goals for our marriage. We have come to realize we really don't have any. I was reading through my posts here, kind of reminding myself of the path I have taken over the past few weeks, and I found the above. It struck me that that is what we did in our relationship. We had this whirlwind romance, fell head over heels, I got pregnant, we got married (because we loved each other, not the pregnancy), but we never had any discussion of what our goals or values for marriage were. We jumped in impulsively thinking the love was enough, that that would sustain us. I gave up a lot of who I was to be with him, in the process giving up my personal power. In that same post we talked about how I had taken on a lot of responsibility in our relationship, and now I think maybe I did that subconsciously as a way to regain my personal power, a sense of identity in the relationship. I'm going to think on this some more, because I think there may be a real clue here to my situation and what Yi has been trying to get across.
