Hi there...

Well I'm back... back in LA... and sort of back on Clarity. I'm not on my own computer, so I can't visit all that often or all that long.

Tonight I took some of my watercolors to a coffee house to try to sell. It was my first try since returning home. I have a list of places... galleries, cafes and coffee houses... to hit tomorrow.

While the coffee house owner was going through my portfolio, I asked the Yi... "Well?" And they answered 20/2.4.5.6. What do you suppose they said to me? Would love your insight.

THANKS!

Love,

Val

i'm very happy for you though- glad that you find yourself in a environment filled with so much more potential and support for your brilliant creativity and artistic ventures.

don't forget to get some business cards made for yourself - they're absolutely indispensible in the big city

Val, have I missed something? Have you moved back to LA from the eastcoast? I hope this is a good move for you and much good luck with your art!

Hi Val

Glad you made it and hope you get past Hx3 fairly quickly ;) (Re.Your move not your reading)

Four is ambiguous in this context! - You gonna tell us which particular Hx.4? (Grin)

Strength to you of the striding toes!

Warmly

Hihihi...

Quickly and happily... Hi everyone! So good to see you all again... allbeit briefly. Just a quick note before I run out to meet an old friend (the best part of being back so far is the reunions I think! I love to hear their surprise when they realize it's me on the phone... *grin*). Anyway, thank you all so much for your responses. I really didn't get this one... too many changing lines for me. And I love your answers. It's been fun hocking my art again!... seeing and being seen.

Kevin...

Where did you get hexagram 4?

Much love and more later...

Back again...

And briefly again... but long enough to respond individually.

Candid...

Thank you. Good answer! I like it. That's what it's all about after all... seeing and being seen.

Dharma...

Thank you for your warm thoughts. There was a major adjustment period when I got back. I felt as alone and isolated as I did living on the east coast at first... a carry over... but it didn't take long to break out of that mindset... and it's for all the reasons you cited that I did.

Thanks for the reminder about the business cards. I went into the first coffee house with my portfolio and no cards. When he asked for my card, I said, "YIKES! I don't have any cards yet... I just got back to town," then looked for something to improvise with. All I could find was a napkin dispenser. Writing my name and number on a paper napkin reminded me of the old clubbing days, and I grinned as I handed him the napkin and said, "Here's my card."

Malka...

Well the question that brought me to this forum a little over a year ago was about getting out of that town I was stranded in sort of "Twilight Zone" style. A lot of my posts were about the "scariness" of living there. When my cat died (a month ago) I realized that, as difficult as it was to let go of him, he had released me to move on. I couldn't travel while he was so old and feeble and fragile with all his special needs. As soon as I realized I could go, I booked my flight and set to work on the move, and that left me with little time for the forum... so I did make the transition rather quietly where the forum is concerned.

Thank you for your warm thoughts.

Kevin...

I think I see now where you got hexagram 4. I think you might have taken line 4 of hex 20 as hex 4. That was line 4 (2, 4, 5, 6) of hex 20, changing to hex 40. Sorry if I wasn't very clear.

And thank you for your thoughts as well. Yes I think the hex 3 of moving is just about over... still some changes to make, but I'm in gear and on my way now.

With much love and gratitude,

Val

Hello Val!

I'm sorry I didn't post earlier - it's good to have you back. Contemplation, Released to go your own way - it sounds good. Starting out at line 2, tentatively at first, maybe trying not to show too much of yourself until you see what you're letting yourself in for. But with 4 and 5, you can afford to come out and be seen, like the man said.

I think the two perspectives of those two top lines can be two we've discussed before now... seeing your life and everything in it as something you create (like the king who sees his own life reflected in his kingdom), and seeing it all almost as if it were a story written by someone else, taking the 'I' out of it altogether.

But anyway, how is the exhibiting going? And the sales?
