During these uncertain times, I was thinking about investing some time in generating some additional revenues for my household. Nothing major, just some pocket money.

I asked I Ching whether it was appropriate and useful to do so and got 34.2.3 > 51

The overall tone seems positive reading the judgment and line 2; however, line 3 warns against pushing too much and using too much power in pursuing this endeavor.
It's like the response is something like: "That's fine, you can do it but do not exaggerate!".
And hexagram 51 seems to be a direct response to the underlining, unexpressed question. "Do not worry too much about these things, look at yourself and become able to maintain your composure even when thunder strikes nearby".

That's what I got. Any suggestion of things I might have overlooked or misunderstood?

The message here seems to be one of moderation. Line 2 suggests success so long as you don’t take on too much or jump in too quickly and, to me, Line 3 affirms that while showing the potentially negative side. Not sure how it applies to your situation but I read it as saying to perhaps do this quietly and/or not be showy or obvious with the extra money you earn. I would think carefully about what the specific revenues are. It might be cautioning you against something you’re considering that’s high-risk or that seems to promise quick profit but would actually be more problems than it’s worth.
