I found the most perfect place right across the street from where I work, bigger and cheaper than my current place, and it has a cute and private little patio. I'm blown away at how nicely it suits my needs. Unfortunately, the website that does the applications is giving my cosigner problems and their support team is very slow. There were 2 units available and one of them was taken yesterday, so it isn't looking good for me getting the second one.

I asked if I would get the other unit and got hex 52uc which I interpreted as "don't get your hopes up, chill out" but I still hesitate to send in applications for other places because it's $40+ to apply and I can't afford to throw money around like that. I also have an admittedly silly feeling that applying elsewhere will somehow decrease my chances of getting this one, like I'm un-manifesting it, if that makes sense (it doesn't 😂)

I interpret this reading two ways: "the website has an illness but your application won't die" or "you're going to be sick over the loss of this place but you'll be alright." I'm going to lean pessimistic on this one to be safe, but maybe you guys have a more positive experience with this line? I've looked through past posts on here and it seems to be a mixed bag. I don't really know what to make of the relating hex either. Thank you in advance 😊

I like your various tries at your readings and I don't have any other bright ideas. I'm not even sure 16.5 is talking about other apartments, or if it's saying do anything you can (45's big concentrated effort) to make sure the one you want stays alive for you. For instance, could you put down more earnest money instead of using it for application fees elsewhere?

But that might not make sense if you can only deal with a website and not a real person/ landlord. I really don't have any ideas.

I would have to be approved for the place before I would be able to put any money down sadly, and I likely won't be approved without my cosigner. It's a super unfortunate situation 😭💔 I'm emailing the property management people to see if there's another way but they're probably more inclined wait for someone without this issue

At least you're doing what you can, on the off chance the reading means what I wondered.

At the very least if you do everything possible to keep it alive, you'll have nothing to beat yourself up about if it falls through.

Update: I didn't apply anywhere else and ended up getting the other available unit. The application site was ill but my application didn't die! 🎉 I think that 52uc was really just telling my to stay calm. I get the keys next week!

(I just saw your other thread though where you wonder if it won't last long... ...still, I'm glad you got what you wanted for however long you're there.)
