Should I have this scan?

Hi All,

I think this means I should cancel. I have a CT scan of my lungs booked for tomorrow, the second one. But I am very torn about it and think I should maybe not have it. Here's my question and the reading. Would so much appreciate prompt opinions....

Should I have the CT scan tomorrow? and Yi's answer, 33.1.6 to 49.

Forget Yi for a moment, why would you not have it?

If you have been given it presumably you need it so why on earth would you cancel it?

It would be foolish to cancel a necessary appt because of an I Ching reading alone, especially one you don't understand so I'm guessing you have a good reason to cancel?


49 is the main point here with lines 1 and 6 changing I think. 33 is all gone through, 49 comes to the fore. Not that it makes any difference whatsoever what reading you got if you actually need your lungs scanned.

I see your reading as mirroring your considering Retreating from the scan and following your own instincts but I wouldn't want to say if that means if you should or shouldn't. Maybe ask, "What would be the effect on my health if I do not have the scan?"
Also, 33. Retreat has a feeling of being pressured. Are you feeling you got talked into this appointment by others - maybe a doctor wanting to be ultra careful?

Thanks very much for getting back, Trojina. I already had a CT scan in December when in hospital (for one night only) as I had pneumonia. This is a follow up. I know my lungs aren't clear yet, but seems the only treatment would be drugs, which I wouldn't want. I am worried about the scan because of all the radiation.

Thanks Rosada. Yes, probably a doctor wanting to be ultra careful is involved. I am just worried about a second CT scan in two months as they are supposed to involve a lot of radiation. I am torn as to whether the benefit would be worth it.

I do understand your fear. I follow a natural approach too in therapies and life, and I try to avoid unnecessary tests and medicines. But knowledge is power as they say. You are not obliged to take strong medicines if you prefer and can take a more natural approach. You are not obliged to do the scan tomorrow. Find your center, find an alternative therapy you trust, then go and have the scan, so that you'll know exactly what you are facing, and whatever it is, you will be ready and in the best alignment to heal.
