Should I share my resume with him?

Hexagram 20 unchanging

This indicates contemplation, which doesn't tell me me much. Contemplate what though - I don't know, it's a pretty straight forward question. Hexagram 20 has been popping a lot for me lately, and I don't understand why. Perhaps I was thinking to much when I asked my questions instead of just focusing on the question. reask?

I couldn't help be re-ask the question a different way today since my manager mentioned to me how I would have more oncoming responsibility and "better" work, yet I am unsure....

Should I give my resume to "X" or stay at the (current) company?

Hexagram 44 unchanging

Usually 44 has a negative connotation to it, or means there is something too powerful for you to take on. Perhaps this is saying that I shouldn't share my resume with him since opportunities will be above my skill level? Or is it saying don't let the inferior (current company/manger) "seduce" you into staying just because he said I will get more responsibility? Any thoughts?

may help if you've not seen it

Actually in answer to your question re showing him the resume it may just be showing what you are doing....thinking about it. It's not telling you if it's a good idea or not it's just saying you are right to be looking at it, seeing what comes into view. There must be reasons why you hesitate, those reasons need to be contemplated before making the offering, which here would be the resume. So re read hex 20 with the word 'resume' rather than offering and see how perfectly it fits your situation.

We tend to think all of our choices are vitally important when all they are is choices we can make well by ourselves. Maybe there is no strong 'opinion' (or guidance ?) on what you should do it is all entirely down to your own judgement which I think, given you had this answer, you are able to trust.

I really don't think you needed to re ask as hex 20uc was a perfect answer for you. Don't rush, sit back a while and think it all over.

maybe the 44 is your insistence it all be decided right now....I don't think it need be. I think you can hang fire a while. 44uc can be things that really make you think there is a rush.....'last chance buy today' kind of deal. But I think you can afford to think a while longer and when you make a choice you can trust it

I think you're right about waiting and thinking this over. There are reasons I hesitate because he is a family friend. I'm afraid he may question why my stats aren't high enough which is fine, since they should be higher (even though I have solid experience). But I just really don't want everything being shared with his entire family friends. That's one of the things holding me back even though I have some solid experience.

It's something to think about.
