I'm a realtor who is on a team that I just joined 6 weeks ago. For those who don't know much about that career, I am an independent contractor and have to pay fees every month to my brokerage etc, and on teams you are paying a large amount of each transaction you close to the team in exchange for leads, marketing expenses, and a lot of support.
I already have a listing which is pretty fast moving, however due to the very high splits my team has (much higher than most teams) I will be leaving with less than $2,000 before taxes once it closes. On most teams I'd be leaving with about $5000 before taxes on this same deal.
I asked the I Ching if I should stick it out with this team or if it would be wise to interview around and got 57.2.3.5 (The Gentle) to 23 (Splitting Apart).
Any help interpreting would be appreciated. Thanks!
