I'm a writer. I love my new book which has taken long hard years to write, even though I don't know if the world will. I indulged myself and asked a stupid egocentric question - writing is lonely so please indulge me back. 'Will I be famous?'

I know, I know...
Reply: Hexagram 41 unchanging.

I guess that's a no, right? And a sly slap on the wrist, perhaps.

Would you want to be famous? I can't understand why anyone would want that but I understand why you'd want your book to be bought and appreciated.

I think it's a 'no' yes - it's asking you to reduce investment in that idea, less is more. But who cares about fame if you are successful and sell lots of books or sell a decent amount of books or sell some books. Many writers are only 'famous' to the people that know about them and the rest of the population will never have heard of them unless they like that genre of book etc etc

Congratulations on your book!

I see 41. Decrease as saying you don’t have to be give up your privacy and become “famous” to experience the fun and adventure that comes from getting your book written. You have created something! You are one with the dragons flying through the sky as in 1.5!
Furthermore, read the 41. Judgement. It looks like advice for how to promote your book,
Book signings! Interviews! Reviews! Public readings! Work it, Baby! You just may become famous anyway.😊
