Hi Jon,

The questions are as follows:

(1) In Hex 1.1, the upper trigram reinforces the lower trigram. But in the changed hexagram, Hex 44, the upper trigram (metal) destroys or impedes the lower trigram (wood). If that is so, why is there a draw?

Hex 1.1 > Hex 44

(2) Does change to Line 1 (Hex 1.1) has any significant meaning(s) to the interpretation? What about a change to Line 6? (I read somewhere that Line 1 is not actively involved as yet and Line 6 is no longer involved. So, how does one interprets them?)

(3) There is nothing in the trigrams or hexagrams (Hex 1.1 > Hex 44) that says the result is 0 – 0. In fact, a draw can be 1 – 1; 2 – 2; 3 -3; etc. How can one tell from the trigrams and hexagrams? Any ideas?

Hi globalex,
I won't be able to look at those further questions of your last post until the one I asked above is answered. I'm asking, specifically, about that reading.

What did you want to know when you did the casting? You can't just pick 2 teams and do a casting without a result in mind. If you approach it with a generalized view you will get a generalized outcome.

So, what did you want to know when you did the casting? There are more clues in my questions in my castings that started this thread.

Will the Eagles WIN vs Saints?

I'm really not sure of this one. Their ground game will be strong and sets up success for the pass. This may be a back and forth with the Eagles prevailing. I have a sense this could go either way but I'm deciding to make a judgement call and go with the Eagles based on Water being prosperous in Winter and - let's say by 10 but the score may not open up a bit until late in the game.

What are your thoughts on this?

Well, this definitely went either way with a last minute decision. I'm happy with my interpretation besides the fact the Eagles lost - I now notice I gave more weight to the Fate trigram season rather than the Subject in this. Basically, I made a mistake and made it more complicated than it needed to be. I would have easily determined the outcome focusing on the Subject trigram. As they say, the wisdom is in the doing.

On to the next one...
