Does the plant character in 22, have any thing in common with, (or different from), the plant character in 45?

Hollis:

Are you speaking of the hexagram names?

H.22: bi4: to adorn / ornamental / bright / luminous / grace /
It's said to be a primitive character, not phonetic-signific. Maybe it depicts SPROUTS IN A VASE or grass over a cowrie shell. I believe that female symbolism is clear and no mere make-up but something of the highest value, GRACE, although maybe not in the christian sense (1).

As for the following character, I believe that the more important part of the character is the lower or inner part.

H.45: cui4: dense grass / dense / grassy / a group / a set /collect / collection / to gather / to meet / assemble / to congregate.

Althoug the lower component is said to be only phonetic, the whole character depicts SOLDIERS UNDER GRASS, maybe camouflage for special units or even hidden partisans, soldiers from the underground.

Beware. Almost all what I say here is highly polemic. But you can always check the sources.

Maybe there is a greek connection between H.22 GRACE and H.45 GATHERING, the word KOSMOS used for jewel / ornament / decoration was also used for the orderly arrangement of troops and ended meaning all the great world, the universe. I tell you what I was said, greek is chinese for me (2).

Yours,

Charly
