Hello everyone!

Update on my continuing trouble relationship. I write him online every day, and he writes back minimally, but enough to let me know he reads what I write. I write everyday nonsense and from my heart. I occasionally request from the Yi a status on our relationship. Tonight I received the following:

Status of relationship: Hex 1 unchanging
His role: Hex 1 unchanging
My role: Hex 1 unchanging
Recommendations: 28.5 > 32

Note: I am significantly older than he is - I've never been romantically involved with someone younger than me before. But I'm absolutely devoted to him.

I try to take what the Yi tells me dispassionately, so I don't go crazy and do something stupid. So before I go crazy and do something stupid , I would very much appreciate the Clarity community's opinions.

Recommendations: 28.5 > 32 Perhaps all you can do is hold on and see what will happen next because success only comes from persevering.

From Reifler's somewhat unusual "translation", Hex 28 is Greatness in Excess. From Wing, the situation is "excessive and soon may reach critical mass"

Line 5, from Reifler

So the situation is excess, there is too much in you tied up in this. You have your "young husband", and while there is no blame in this, there is no praise either. You are in H32, continuing and enduring, the situation is not stable.

Can you take a half-step back? Take part of yourself and keep it in reserve?

Thank you, Tiger. I will try. I'm not very good at holding back at all. I think part of the attraction is I am an all-or-nothing, no-holds-barred person, and even at his young age he is one of the few people I've found who can keep me in check . Not that my approach is a good thing, but it is what it is. I hear your advice, though, and will use what reserve I have. Many thanks . . .

Just try to have a part of yourself observe you "giving your all", so that you are not lost in it. If you can observe what is happening, I believe you will have a better outcome.

Tiger and Willow, what you have recommended has had a significant impact. I realized that with my current approach, he would be responding to me because I had probably pushed him to it; I think we all want someone who reponds because they want to, and if and when they are ready. So this morning I emailed him that, and that he is now in control. That he has "broken" my out of control ass, but in a good way. I wouldn't have seen it without you. It's very much appreciated. Will let you guys know how things turn out. Scary to give someone else some control over your heart, but I guess there's no way around it . . . .
