<FONT COLOR="0000ff">Hello again friends.

I am at a time in my life where i have to make the decision of wheather or not to continue my education into a masters degree next year. I currently feel not realy ready to do so and therefore planned to defer for a year and spend some time travelling.

With regard to defering for the year the yi responded with Hx 15 and no changing lines.

Not too sure if i should read this as no continue your plans with education or continue your plans and travel but ensure that i do what i intend and continue education after.

Thanks in advance

Hi Elph,

My take on your cast is to continue with your education and travel later. "The superior man carries things through"

There is also the aspects of Keeping Still and the mountain(which generally does the same).

Hope this is of some help.

<FONT COLOR="0000ff">Hello Leonard

But what about "He who possesses something great must not make it too full."

I'm getting on really well in the area of study i've chosen and so feasibly i could could quite easily carry on straight into a Masters. But is this not the modesty the yi could be talking about, sort of saying 'yeah you could but dont rush'.

Also Karcher reads 15 as a keeping words connected to the facts, perhaps this is the 'yeah go travel and then do education but ensure that if you say you will come back and do the education that you will.'

im a bit puzzled over this one, im aware that my interpretations are really subjective and biased because i do really feel that now is the wrong time to do more education if i want to get the most out of it. Also i am still a bit a bit of newbie to the yi!

Your objective position is welcomed

Hi Elph,

Yeah, I saw that aspect, too. Since I am an intuitive reader and didn't have this last bit 'o background, I can also see it the other way. Ummmm, you see, what you call subjectivity here, I might look upon as YOUR intuition; in which case, your initial gut reaction was right on. (meaning, hang up the academia for awhile and go experience the collective flow.)

Oh, you could also look on the 'fullness' aspect as referring to putting too many things on the burner at once, instead of finishing one project, then starting another. This is a tricky little devil, isn't it? Either way I don't see any 'bad omens' in this cast.

Its quite reassuring to think that perhaps my confusion is not necessarily the result of my inability to read the yi as well as i'd like. Some times i really think im beginning to get it and then others i just dont know what to think.

Perhaps ill ask specifically about travel and then see if things become any clearer?

Either way ill keep you posted.

Thanks again for your input.

Hi Elph,

There's a couple things about 15, as meaning "modesty," that differs from the way we generally interpret it. It is an action, which makes something difficult appear easy. The work speaks for itself, it is self-evident.

Its not just doing the right thing but doing it for the right reasons. Only you can determine what those reasons are, and only you can follow through to completion.

I wish you the best.

(MHO) It's a good idea to phrase one's questions carefully and ask well-thought-out follow up questions.

I'm not so sure it matters much to the Yi, but it can matter a lot to YOU when it comes to interpreting :) .

Out of curiosity, how's your yogi doing?

Thank you... this feels so true. The more i think about continuing my study the more it seems that i am because i feel i should or could, the passion i used to have has started to evaporate. If i was to continue now i know it would be for the wrong reasons. It is what i want to do, i am sure of that...perhaps just not yet.

Not sure i even need to ask a follow up question regarding this issue any more. I think im gonna go with what i feel and what the yi has (kinda) reinforced.
About yogi man... well after the initial encounter that shook me so much that i mentioned on t'other thread, i didnt see him very often. However more recently i have bumped into him (well he has bumped into me)a couple of times. The tone of our meetings are now very different, other than asking me if i am happy, we rarely talk of anything too spiritual or fundamental. Instead we joke about a bit and he laughs at my card magic skills (or lack of). Not sure if this means that he is aware that i have taken the advice he gave me on board or what, but i do find myself alot more comforatble around him now whereas before his presence, i have come to realise, used to really put me on edge. Still completely unsure as to what my meeting him means, but these things usually become evident in time.
