Two important questions

I am going through a process to get a permanent teaching position and it has two parts, the first part is a written exam that I took last june 21st, and the second part is an oral exam, one hour talking about my syllabus (30 minutes) and a didactic unit (30 minutes) all that in English (I am Spanish). Well, I asked the I Ching (maybe I shouldn't have to) a couple of questions:
What do I need to bear in mind (looking for advice) for the day of the oral presentation? and I got 54.5 changing to 58.
The second question was very straightfoward (I think): Am I going to get the teaching position this time? I got 25.1,3 changing to 33.
Honestly, I think I should not have asked this... but I did and now I feel, well, I don't even know how I feel. Can you give me an interpretation, please?

Regarding your second question

I don't know if passing the test assures you of a job or if it merely provides you with a license and then you still have to find a job.

If it assures you of a job, I would interpret your result to mean that you will pass the test but have challenges once you get a job. If it does not assure you of getting a job, i would be tempted to say you might have some challenges in getting the job. Although I think the first case (trouble at the job) is more likely.

It is a little complicated to explain, passing the test, sometimes does not mean to get a job, but sometimes it does, it depends on the mark I get and the number of vacancies, my question is specifically if I get the job, that is, if my mark allows me to get that permanent teaching position/vacancy working for a state school (similar to a civil servant). Wow!! it's been a long time between Part 1 and Part 2 of this selection process.

54.5 >58 - In the exam, just go out there and be yourself, don't try to be something that you are not. Be open in all you say and do, stay cool and calm and don't beat yourself up and things will go well for you.

The second question was very straightfoward (I think): Am I going to get the teaching position this time? I got 25.1,3 changing to 33.

25 - It's because you want this so much that you are feeling all this confusion. Take a wider view and chill.
25.1 - Be open and your Innocence will show you the way for you to grow in this situation.
25.3 - On an emotional front, be prepared. Expect the unexpected. Look on whatever happens as a step forward for you and go with it in a positive frame of mind.
33 - Look carefully at the wider picture and you may feel that stepping back is the best thing for you.

When you put these two together they seem to sit well together. it might be you want to review, what it is that is moving you towards this job and what it is that you really want to be doing next in your life. Really, really, really ....

Really, really... ??? Mike, I don't understand. Hex 33 is very confusing, I have been reading about it and in some places it says that retreat is advisable after achieving the objective.
On the other hand, how am I supposed to withdraw? what does that mean? I still have to do the oral exam that will be on the 6th, 7th... of this month. How can I do that? I have to do it. Honestly, I do not understand. You see, it was a bad idea to ask that question...

It suggests that you quickly adapt to the questions that will be asked, and don't try to lead, let the examiner take the lead but relax, be friendly and enjoy the experience as really, it won't be very difficult for you at all.

This answer suggests that you will get the teaching position, line 25.1 is very good, but line 25.3 is rather tricky. Who is the wanderer and who is the citizen?
So, maybe the citizen is the school and the wanderer is you, you come walking by and steal the job from under their noses, so to speak. As you don't have a job, how can you lose what you don't already own, as the line suggests previous ownership?

Have to wait and see how line 25.3 works out in reality.

Hello WF and thanks for your interpretation. I will explain a little bit more this situation. I already have a job as an english teacher in a private school which I will keep if I don't get this teaching position for the public schools in Spain. I have been studying since January for this "exam", I did the written part and now I am getting ready for the oral part, in this part, they will listen to me, they will not ask any questions, and as I said in a previous post, it is divided into two sub-parts, 30 minutes to talk about the planning/syllabus and 30 minutes to talk about a didactic unit, with its objectives, contents, evaluation, activities, and so on. After giving my speech, I will leave and I will wait for the results on July 17th. This is a good year because there are 1500 vacancies for the whole region and around 3000 people are going through this process, it is in fact a competition. I have always had a good feeling about this time because I have some teaching experience (that is taken into account), I am working hard and my speaking is not bad. Anyway, hopefully I will get it, at least, I will try my best. If I don't get it, I will continue doing what I like in my current job.
By the way, you didn't say anything about Hex 33, is there anything I need to know about it, please, explain.

Lets wait until July 17th and then the meaning, if any, of hex 33 will show itself. Sometimes the 2nd hex has no direct bearing on the original question, so i will wait and see how your lines turn out.

Also, what I meant is you don't currently have a job in a state school, the place that you are in actual fact trying to get into, so you can't lose what you don't currently have.

Hello, I just thought to drop a few lines to say that I finally got that teaching position in the state schools. I am really happy since it means a great change and a job for life. I would like to thank you for your interpretations, everything went well and now I have to wait and see what school I will be working at.

Anyway, after this great moment. I asked the IC about Love and I got 22 (2) changing to 26.

I also asked "And now what?" and I got 30 (4) changing to 22.

Can you give me your insights???

So, there you go, line 25.3 did indeed indicate that you would "steal" the job while Hex 33 may mean that you may not get the best of the pick of schools but nevermind, just carry on and do your job with pride.

Anyway, after this great moment. I asked the IC about Love and I got 22 (2) changing to 26.

You don't need anyone at the moment, look to your job first and foremost, then love can come later.

I also asked "And now what?" and I got 30 (4) changing to 22.

This suggests that you quell your restless and any desire for excitement, love or attention as these things are obtainable but they will disappear, so for the moment desire nothing, just be yourself, quiet and at peace.

Hello WF, I agree with you, I just feel like being with myself and enjoy the summer with my friends and family, besides, there are some health issues I have to take care of, so it is a matter of time, I suppose .
On the other hand, you might be right about Hex 33, I will have to wait and see.
