Hello everyone :)

I decided to consult the Yi about a personal objective.

What is there to know about achieving x?
50.4 > 18
Is there anything I can do to increase my chances of achieving x?
9.2 > 37

The first casting sounds very close to home. I find the second harder to understand. Thanks in advance for any input :bows:

Your Prince isn't too happy with how your engine's running lately, and has put out a recall on it for preventative maintenance.

Well, your Ding (50) is where you refine your being. In this case, the Prince of your being has had the Ding fall over him and soil him. With only three legs to start with, missing one would result in a calamity.

The recall thing comes from the return in 9.2, where managing small elements keeps this thing in question running smoothly. There's evidence of staleness, and this thing needs a breath of fresh air. So it's paying attention to the details that makes a great stew, and more importantly, that it's used as you intended it, i.e. good enough to serve to a Prince.

Hi, Cris:

First part:

H.50:
HOLY-CAULDRON (1)
FIRST LUCK / SUPREME LUCK
FEAST / CELEBRATION

Although I don't know the meaning of «X», I believe that you have received a gift , a natural skill for the job of «X» and can enjoy it.

50.4:
HOLY-CAULDRON BROKEN FOOT
OVERTURNED PUBLIC POT
IT WILL LOOK MOISTEN(2)
HORRIBLE!

But «X» is a risky job, a full contact sport. It's easy to commit a mistake unwillingly, nobody's perfect. You need a B-plan for that eventuality.

Beware of accidental mistakes, no matters if related with great affairs (to break the bonzeware of nobles or rulers) or little affairs (to overtunr the humble public pot of rice), be prepared.

H.18:
POISON (3)
ORIGINS FEAST / FIRST CELEBRATION.
PROFITABLE TO CROSS THE GREAT RIVER.
BEFORE JIA [the D-day], THREE DAYS,
AFTER JIA, THREE DAYS.

Beginings, innitiations, are always hard and bitter (the poisonous first celebrations), but accept the challenge (do cross the big river), it will be profitable.

Only that go cautious before and after the marked day. Before make a prevision, have a B-plan, after, make a following, verify the results, how the thing evolve.

I believe that 50.4 > 18 is encouraging.

If you want, I can post the chinese text. 2nd. part will come soon.

All the best,

Charly

_____________________________

(1) The DING, the HOLY CAULDRON, was a 3 or 4-legged bronze pot for cooking meat in ancestors worship or for special uses in VIP banquets. Bronzeware passed from one generation to another, it was the warranty of legimate power, a tool for communication with the ancestors and a door through which the ancestors vigilate the behavior of the owner. It means THE GIFT, and the responsibility for being granted it.

(2) to look moisten means to look UNFORTUNATE, like the little fox that wet its tail, «meado por los perros», of course, it might be worse, don't worry.

(3) Poison or remedy, something bitter and hard to swallow but not always letal. Even maybe your GIFT might be LETAL for OTHERS. In that sense, POISON means APPEAL.

Thank you

Many thanks, Bruce and Charly. Very helpful insights.

Charly, I would love to see your interpretation of 9.2 as well!

hex 50.4 suggest the chances are low due to some past unpleasant issues.

hex 9.2 you would like to act now but it is not the appropriate time.

Best of luck

Thanks Tifa.

I found a couple of interesting hints for 50.4 in some sources, referring to loss of trust and having to lower one's expectations. It all makes a lot of sense.
