Urgent - medical procedure

My mother is scheduled to take a medical exam in around 24 hours. The procedure has been prescribed by different specialists as key follow-up. It however requires an exacting preparation, one that did not pose many issues in the past but that could now prove to be tougher healthwise and extremely challenging from a practical perspective due to her current neurological conditions (she can not stand up or walk by herself). I got 8.3 when asking about it. It’s a line I don’t recall having any experience of. Looking at this blog post indeed it’s something that is unnatural, unfit for the present situation but still we may have to get on with it. I’d appreciate any insight.

I read it as taking assistance from something other than people in difficult times.

I know that there are negative connotations on 8.3 especially if it refers to somebody, but in your case I see this line as simply describing the test itself or other medical procedures/ equipment.

Brilliant! “Seeking union with non-people”, i.e. machines. As straight forward as it gets.

Counting on it! We really have no options - the test is required and waiting for my mother’s conditions to improve to take it would be a losing strategy.

The procedure took place. So far so good. The entire process has obviously taken a toll - hopefully rest will be sufficient to recover.
