Waiting, 5.4.6. - 1

Hello friends,

Some days ago I asked if I should wait for a definite event in my life to happen. Ironically, I got the hex 5 (Waiting), changing lines 4 and 6.

What does the line 6 mean? "Do not wait, all deadlines are over", or "The event you are waiting for will happen unexpectedly when you lose all hope for it and stop waiting"? Or something else?

Could you please help me with understanding?

Mmm well 5.4 suggests you are not just waiting, you are waiting in some distress. You are waiting in a place where you feel hurt or pain in some way and this isn't good for you. The line says something like 'waiting in blood, get out of the pit'. So get out of that pit, move. In releasing yourself or your frame of mind, you will unexpectedly comes across events, people, situations that can help you (5.6).

With 1 as the relating hexagram I feel this has something destined about it. Yes you can get free of whatever is locking you into a state of waiting and you will find sources of help although you may not recognise them as 'help' at first. In fact they may look rather odd




....don't refuse any opportunities that look weird, but get out of the pit first. The pit may even just be a state of mind where you revisit wounds.

With 1 as the relating hexagram I feel this has something destined about it.

What do you mean by destined, Trojina?
I keep receiving lots of 1 as second hexagram, and was about to ask what it means..

Oh just that I see hexes 1 and 2 especially as great primal energies coming from beyond the human sphere. Hexagram 1, the Creative, I link to the very seed of life and hence the seed of our life, our energy path. Much the same as if your parents have blue eyes you may have blue eyes....dragon power as the way life perpetuates itself through the urge to BE and become. You could call is destiny or in another light genetics. I have no precise vocabulary for what I mean so my idea of 1 as indicating that which is destined by the life energy itself will have to sound terribly vague and possibly bonkers.

All I know is when I see hexagram 1 as the relating hexagram I see the primary hexagram as having a great amount of dragon energy, creative power behind it. As if there is a will, a direction, an intent beyond our human intent that drives the human intent.

For example Marilyn Monroe maybe wanted to be an actress.....Madonna may have wanted to be a singer, but I think another current also ran through their life which carried them along as if it were their destiny. In astrology there are the 'nodes', sometimes called the dragons head and the dragons tail. The north node, dragon's head is your current life karma and direction where you are headed. The south node, dragon's tail where you have been in previous incarnations etc. You know there's times in life you feel swept along as if something beyond you was moving along in tandem. People speak of 'riding a wave' and so on. I see that linked to hexagram 1 so when I see it as the relating hexagram I tend to think that energy, that 'bigger picture' energy is behind the story the primary hexagram tells.

Not everyone would agree with me on this it's just a personal view.

I see 5.4 as meaning a state of perpetual waiting isn't helpful. Like when you are expecting someone and your mind is going bonkers, will they come? where are they? And this anxiety is like a pit. You need to get out of the waiting mode pit. Maybe focus more on preparing or think about something else entirely.

3.6 The arrival of unexpected guests. Honor them.
What ever we are expecting something different always happens!
I see 5.6 as very positive. If you believe that our thoughts manifest then 5.6 says to me that things you have been thinking about but hadn't expected, hadn't been waiting for, do manifest. So the things, people or events are your "guests" but you didn't realize they were actually going to appear. Maybe could mean solutions to problems come but not in the way we had expected. Or be careful what you give energy to as you will attract more of the same, like it or not. But honor what comes and all works out fine.

Together I see this as saying, "Stop worrying or you're going to invite problems. Instead just keep working on your responsibilities and your reward will come, probably when you have stopped waiting for it - 6th position means when the time has passed, so 3.6 is when the time of waiting has passed and the guest arrive.

Changing to hex 1 reads to me like you are 5.Waiting (to) 1.Begin. So not a strong validation that what you are waiting for does happen, more like a snapshot of where you are right now and perhaps advice as to how to handle this state. The advice being, 5.4 don't put your life on hold. 5.6 enjoy what come in now. Hex 1 as the second hex seems like you can create a lot of good things in your life now so again don't put your creative talents on hold.

There is a great line up of planets for establishing long term habits for manifesting visions happening this week. Venus conjunct Mars in Aries, easy beginnings; trining Saturn in Sagittarius, long term commitments, followed by Sun conjunct Neptune in Pisces of heart felt visions.

So while you are waiting to begin, don't just wait, create!

I got so many times 1 as a relating hexagram with the director ahahah

But recently I got 54>1 on a free workshop with final performance. I didn't go in the end because I would have had to miss other classes that happened to be at the same time. But I was undecided for a while because although 54 is not an enthusiastic hex, there was that 1 that intrigued me.
