What are Trump's views on race? 7uc

In other threads here I have ranted about not using the Yi as an extension of our own believes, to make it say what we want it to. Well, since I've ranted so much on that topic, I thought that I might need to test the waters a bit - can I put aside my personal / political views in a reading - at least long enough to actully hear and consider what the Yi is saying?

So, I asked 'what are Trump's views on race?' and got 7uc.

Here the oracle text for 7 says, from Hilary: 'The Army: with constancy. Mature people, good fortune - no mistake.' And from Bradford Hatcher: The militia. Persistence. A mature person’s good fortune. No blame.

With either version I don't really get that the Yi is telling us much about Trump's views on race: for example, is he or is he not a racist. In fact, it seems rather silent on the matter (that's my take anyway). But there is the idea here of making good use of an army or militia - perhaps of marshalling or rallying one's forces or support - and that being persistent will is a good thing.

This makes me wonder, could it be that Trump has no really strongly-held or consistent views on race, but instead - like a businessman - that he treats the race issue as something to be used, to be mobilized, to be made the most of?

Looking at the trigrams (the 2-three line figures that make up the hexagram), we have Water below and Earth above. So with water, could it be that Trump's racial views are a mystery - to us or even to the Yi, at least in this reading? Or that they are fluid, like moving water, not to be pinned down?

But with Earth, whatever his beliefs are (even if they are fluid, changing, and a bit of a msytery) could it be that he makes use of them - like Earth's ability to manifest ideas and thoughts, and make them real - to perhaps serve a purpose: for example, to garner support among white separatist or to justify his immigration stance?

Well ... there it is. I guess I have to give myself a mixed review here. On the one hand, I think I did a good job starting off on neutral ground (a.k.a let the Yi speak for itself); but perhaps towards the end, I too fell into the trap of making the Yi support my own beliefs. Hmmm.

What do you all think? Best, D.

My immediate reaction is that Yi's answering the question a bit obliquely, by saying that Trump has a focussed, campaign mentality, that he cares about getting (other) things done.

In other words, it's just not particularly his issue, maybe. He cares most about other things, fixing other things that are problems, like he talked about in the campaign.

So for example, the border wall isn't a racial issue to him. Even if it has that component, it's not the reason he wants it built.

Of course, reading interpretation is subjective itself, so.....

Will add, since your question was about his views, I think 7 is how he sees himself. Whether that's accurate, or whether he's effective at his objectives, is another matter.
