What do I need to know about finding my higher self in the next 6 months? 34.2.4 to 36

I asked for the wise counsel of Yi regarding this - as I don't wish to reside so much in my lower or more animal self, but to be spending more time in my higher self. I have gradually been working at this over the past 2.5 years and I think I have made some progress but I have much further to go. Part of me feels that this task in part is rediscovering some purity of my earlier self. And that part involves the letting go of some rigid attitudes or knowledge that maybe has served me to this point but is no longer useful.

Both line 2 and 4 of hexagram 34 says perseverance brings good fortune. It speaks about not applying pressure - I guess like not trying so hard or maybe not even being conscious - that obstacles will be removed and then the progress will come. This is interesting but I don't know what the obstacles are - I guess something inside me.

I wonder what anyone in the community thinks of this throw.

34.2.4 - 36 Enduring (by) Keeping Hidden

36. Veiling one's light.
I think of stories where the silent janitor or bartender watches all the goings on, never interfering or saying a word and then it turns out he's some wise old kung fu master who saves the day before fading off into the sunset. Likewise I think in this reading the IC is telling you that your lesson this next six months is to watch and observe how life goes on around you, get a sense of the flow of energies but avoid getting drawn into other people's dramas..

34. Enduring
34.2 Persevering.
34.4 An opening appears.

Says to me that your higher mind will be giving you all the information you can handle in the year ahead and that you need only continue to be present and aware in 2021 and you will see your path opening up before you.

I think one of the key things not often mentioned in discussions of higher consciousness is that a higher perspective is not all that pretty. The Dali Llama, one of the most conscious beings on the planet, has spent much of his days listening to pilgrims coming for his blessing, who tell him the most heart wrenching horror stories of what they have experienced in wars and famine and poverty. The average soul couldn't hear these things and stay sane, yet the Dali Llama can absorb their pain and heal them. Likewise, when we ask for a closer walk with our own higher selves we probably are opening ourselves up to see things we may not have been ready for. Like 36. says, there are a lot of crazy people out there...

Hi! I guess this relates to your prior post and my last answer to it as well.
That's not easy to be the best person we are/we can be. And that's not easy, as well, coming back to our childhood-part, which is still there.

So, to your cast: I think its says exactly give the best you can, without exceeding, always according to your possibilities.

I personally received 36 as single hex, which made my lecture quite difficult. I think the result of the cast could be: do your best, without forgetting your inner self. I see the first hex as an external manifestation, and 36 as the necessary internal one!

It doesn't really relate to the other question. This is the wider picture of my life over the past few years - the other question on dating is really a smaller, localised subset of this. What prompted me to ask this now is as much as anything the time, approaching midwinter, a good time to consider the next 6 months, and also a podcast I heard urging us to find our higher self, which prompts me again to reaffirm my commitment to the best in myself, regardless of the coordinated societal pressure to be otherwise.

Perhaps I ought to take up meditation again, which I used to do but stopped 10 years ago. Awareness seems to be key. I actually have difficulty in not being pulled into conflicts wherein my energies dissipate (in the workplace and also socially) and this could be important

Hex 36 means being an outcast.

Still yourself through healing what you have exiled.

34.2 - A disciplined and humble approach will bring good fortune. Truely centre yourself.
34.4 - Applying yourself with true inner power will take you beyond the current constraints in your life.
