Hi there!

I asked this question about a new love interest twice, at different times, and at first I got hexagram 42 unchanging, then 2 unchanging. Seems positive to me, I know he likes me, I'm just wondering if there's more than just a simple attraction. He's a little younger than me, maybe he sees me as the mature one?

I would very much appreciate a little help on this one.

No, I'm not rich, we have approximately the same status - both of us very focused on our careers and personal development - and the age difference is rather insignificant. However, he is a little immature and fickle, while I'm rather a down to earth person. I have the feeling he is in love with me, but he is rather scared to show it.

I think Hexagram 2 reveals that he is receptive to you, and finds that you are very receptive and open yourself. You seem natural and open to him, in an unusual way.

H 42 to my thinking would mean he finds you very vital, and finds knowing you to be an Increase, a boon, and a robust and dynamic experience.

It is the increase in knowledge that comes from the cracking of a plastron, which did so with a pop, thus Thunder is the lower trigram and thus the allusion to tortoises in 42.2 and their use in relocating the capital in 42.4. Cracking the plastron was a revelation of the mysterious, thus amradea's boyfriend's interest.

I guess all of the above are correct. He definetly likes me, he's very romantic and even writes me poems and songs and that's something that has never happened to me before. The problem is that it's easier for him to do this than to actually admit he has feelings for me (when things get a little more serious, he backs out immediately), that is why I was curious what was it that he actually liked about me.

It's a typical "opposites attract" situation. He also has a problem with commitment, so I really don't know how to approach him in order not to scare him away.

You really got the whole picture. Well, I'm not thinking about marriage and I didn't show him that I would want that, but I do want something more than just a romance, if not with him, than with somebody who would be more suitable. I really like him and I feel there's a intuitive connection between us, it's like he's reading my mind.

However, I know for sure that he has a fear of serious commitments and only the idea of marriage scares him away. This is the reason he broke up with his ex after a 5 year relationship. He didn't want to marry her. So, yeah, he's playing hard to get, although he's very sensitive and the type who really needs love in his life. I'm a Scorpio, he's Pisces, if that counts.
