What does the upcoming eclipse portend for me personally?

Total solar eclipse today at 29 Leo. Many astrologers have commented that as this is the degree of Donald Trump's ascendant there could be some sort of whoop-de-do hitting him personally. As it seems like everyday there is some sort of whoop-de-do with him I couldn't imagine what this might mean. Well this morning's headlines revealed that Trump's grandfather had been deported from Bavaria for several reasons including avoiding the draft. The grandfather wrote a letter which is now posted on the internet, in which he begged the king to reconsider, pointing out what a heartbreaking hardship this would be for him and his family etc. but he was deported just the same. The article was pointing out that now Trump is using his position to wreck similar havoc on immigrants in this country.
Anyway, although astrologically I don't have any planets near the eclipse degree, I decided to ask the I Ching what this eclipse might portend for me. I received hexagram 15.3 - hexagram 2. This sounds pretty benign to me - as if the I Ching is saying, "focus on the work in front of you and just do it." Hmm...maybe I'll get my files in order and finally finish my I Ching Book of Proverbs project. But anyway, I thought I'd post this in case others might want to consider asking the I Ching what special significance the eclipse holds for them and post their results here to be updated as the events unfold.
The effects of an eclipse are said to be felt over the next weeks and possibly over the next year.

The eclipse is about 5 degrees away from my Virgo ascendant, so it will be in my 12th house.

Eclipses are generally over-hyped though in my experience.

I agree I think it's telling you not to worry about it

Asked how the eclipse might impact on me. It is also within 5 degrees of Pluto on my ascendant.

31.4.5>15

15 again. I think it's a similar message. Line 4 reminds me of the hype that can effect people, line 5 being unaffected by it

Also as same eclipse happens every 19 years you can look back to see what happened at the last one. For me it was a liberating one at the time.

As a transit it might not have major effects since both Sun and Moon move so quickly. People born during it, who have Sun conjunct Moon in their natal chart, might be a different matter. Also, aren't 29th degrees called "anaretic" degrees? I don't know much about those.

However, just as a sight to behold it's quite something, and then there's the controversy over whether the Zhou's "sign" to attack the Shang (I think that was it?) was an eclipse or sunspots. I could see a total eclipse being very frightening for people that long ago since they had no idea what was going on. (There's no mystery in it for us anymore.)

It is a little hard to reconcile the spectacularness of it with it being a non-event astrologically. Both seem true.

I think you will feel a shift within and see this reflected in your outer World.

It isn't a 'non event astrologically'. If you are into astrology it's a big event astrologically. It's an event astrologically but far more so if it is on an angle or aspects a planet in your chart Also as Rosada said effects don't happen just on the day of the eclipse but can impact for years to come if you make big changes in certain areas of your life around that time. I think 15.3 is a fairly placid answer for Rosada. Remember these eclipses happen regularly, nothing a person of an older age won't have experienced before to some degree. Hence no need for people to get too

Oh there is. It's still an amazing thing to see. Watched it on TV and it bought tears to my eyes and made me say to the sun on TV 'come back !'. Now if I as a 21st century person watching total eclipse on TV feel moved to that extent one can imagine how ancient man must have felt.

I think you will feel a shift within and see this reflected in your outer World.

Yes, for me the eclipse was in 12th and 6th houses. Well the sun was in the 12th. I think for me this is to do with the tension between individualism ( I have Uranus in 12th house) a freeing of the spirit in the 12th house versus the existing routines and structures of everyday life in the 6th. Last time this eclipse happened 19 years ago I sold my house and left my job. Not an especially great decision in the long term but it was freeing at the time. This time my mother is leaving the family home, where her parents lived, to move into a sheltered flat. So that is a big shift and the eclipse is bang on her midheaven which I think shows the big change for her from having the responsibilities of home and garden and so on to look after to a different way of life where she plans to spend far more time enjoying herself :D

An apartment where old people live where they have a warden on hand if they have any difficulties and so on.

Also all the maintenance needs are taken care of and the flat is designed for comfort and ease for the older person.

My mum had several falls last year in her garden and she cannot keep up with all the work it needs. Also she didn't want to worry about maintenance any more and so on. In these flats everything is one level, no stairs, a lift in the building, close to town. She plans to spend the time she has been spending doing housework and gardening and cooking and so on just enjoying herself, eating lunch out each day and being a lady of leisure. The place has a community room for socializing and they also run days trips and so on. So overall more fun, less worry.
