What is my biggest, unconscious fear?

Two days ago, before falling asleep, I did a bit of self-hypnosis and set the intention to dream about me, confronting my biggest fear while in a dream. This was the result:

I was in a room and there was a boy with me.. he went out and I knew that something had happened to him, that he had been possessed or killed and that I was next. I was grateful to have had some warning and clearly remember thinking that it would have been the end if I had been unaware of what was coming. I started looking for a weapon in the room but there was nothing except for a shoe. It was a black, high heeled sandal with a very thick, square heel. So I grabbed it... ready to hit with it whatever attacked me. I went to the door and I opened it, ready to confront whatever was out there. I went out, it was very dark, and in the shadows I made out the shape of a huge thing that was a cross between a tiger and a lion. It attacked me and bit my hand; however, in the dream, there was no pain. I was trying to hold it with my left arm while I tried to defend myself with the right one. In my dream I kept thinking that this huge thing wouldn't stay away much longer with me holding it with my left arm, which is my weakest… but somehow, I was able to hold it… and in the meantime, with my right arm, I kept trying to hurt it, so it would leave me alone.. I kept squeezing its mouth, thinking that it was a very tender spot.. and I was able to really squeeze it until it almost folded over, paper-like. I can’t remember using the shoe.. I was just using my hands… the struggle lasted a veerrryyy long time…

I remember feeling a bit sorry about the animal because I really didn't want to hurt it, I just wanted it to leave me alone…

I can’t remember anything else about the dream…

Since I am still not sure what the tiger represents, I asked the Yi today the question "What is my biggest, unconscious fear?" and the answer was 26.5 to 9.

Befuddled...

Any help is very much appreciated!

26.5 always feel to me like I am feeling really helpless - weak and powerless struggling to deal with people who appear to be more powerful than me. It is almost as if we have to put on an external hardness even though we feel like marshmallow underneath.

The imagery of gelded boar tusks - is always pleasing to me - rather like cream horns -
So perhaps your dream is you struggling with the yin and yang - the balance between the two.

Hex 9 adds to this the fact that you are feeling as if you need to out on a hard front - a show if strength but are not necessarily comfy with this

Hex 9 - if you stare at it long enough - the broken line is subsumed and becomes unbroken. Almost like the small voice inside -

Not sure how to go on from here but am sure that it has something to do with the subconscious fear of which you asked. Trying to be hard - powerful - putting on a show - but deep down not feeling as if this is you at all

Thank you both very much. Something that struck me as very compelling about the dream was that the tiger (or my fear) was not causing any pain... the only pain in the dream was the one I was inflicting on it... and the guilt that it produced.

Thinking further on the dream I also realized that whatever my fear is, I am making it out to be bigger and scarier than it really is. While confronting it, there was no fear during the struggle... I was able to hold it. A big scary illusion. The mouth of the tiger folded like paper when I squeezed it: it had no substance.

Your insight gives me something to think about... thank you again, very, very much!!!

About confronting something evil that is chasing you in a dream (fast forward to 10:15):

Advice is to stop running, face the monster and ask: "What do you want?" or maybe "Who are you?".

About your reading, maybe your biggest fear is to lose control over your dark side, the lower part of the psyche, animal instincts. Both 26 and 9 represent some taming of power.
And you mention holding the beast by left hand (subconscious), and using right arm (logic, conscious mind) to over power it. Trying to hold something inner from floating up to the surface.

Taking into account that a little boy was the first victim - probably means some old incident, something from childhood, a memory of unpleasant event or some suppressed feelings.
