What is obstructing me from connecting with financial abundance? 23.6 to 2

Hi everyone,

Last night I dreamt that I won 11 million euros in the lottery . However, once it came to cashing in the prize, lots of obstacles emerged. The prize had been won online, through a lottery website, and I had to transfer the balance to my bank account. It proved to be an impossible and frustrating task. Each day I would log in and see the balance diminishing as if something were eating away the prize. I called my bank and the website and no one could help me finally solve the issue and get my hands on the money. Needless to say, I woke up feeling frustrated, the great feeling of abundance after having won had completely vanished.

I took this to mean that there is something unconscious preventing me from tapping into or connecting to financial abundance. I have been reading a lot on this forum about 23.6 and I think it could mean there's a change already happening inside of me (although maybe not necessarily positive). Or perhaps it has to do with being more generous, as some suggest 23 has to do with generosity?

It seems in your dream that you are unable to bank what you have acquired and the longer this goes on the less you are able to reap. Your frustration is palpable.

23.6 can speak to a new wisdom (perhaps yet to be fully acquired - 'ripe fruit not eaten') and how you think about the world around you now. There is though still something else that you need to fully align with and when you jump aboard this, your purpose will shine and will transport you forwards.

23 advocates a leaving behind of old attitudes and advises that the best way forward is to become benevolent to those you consider below you and then use this change of approach to set the foundations for acquiring future wealth within your world.

Interesting topic. I love using the I Ching to enlight my dreams.

Line 6 says that your abundance of the subject depends on yourself, mainly on your mental attitude.
You need to break down barriers/resistance to new things and surrender to new situations that can put you in a greater flow of abundance.

To receive your abundance, you must not seek illicit means or you will never achieve your goals. And the question about generosity reminds me a lot of the tarot card 6 of pentacles.
The hexagram 2 asks you be receptive to create powerful relationships/connections to let the abundance flows to you. I understand not exactly "donations" but a fair exchange, like 'I offer you a service and receive some product in the same value and due to this connection, I get a reference for future jobs.' This is justr an example.

Perhaps someone can share a better idea about this hexagram (edit: my_key already did it, but took me one year to write this lol), but this is my idea about his hex!

Skywatcher, it's funny you should mention the 6 of pentacles. I did a yearly tarot reading on Jan 1st and I got that card as the "theme" of this year.

What's obstructing you...maybe you're not moving the ripe fruit into an empty field that's ready to receive it.

Next questions: what ripe fruit, what's the cart that could move it, and what empty field?

If you're entrepreneurially inclined this could be find an empty market niche and try to fill it.

If you're looking for normal jobs, could you upgrade your skills or learn new ones that are in more demand?

Or move yourself to a place with more opportunities.

Or anything like that - never mind the specifics. In general, doing what you've been doing probably isn't going to help much, even if you work harder at it. That's probably the hut-stripping - staying in your hut and rearranging what you already have over and over.

Perhaps I should consider learning a new skill. I think I will now ask Yi for advice on what change I can do to "move my fruit" into a more prosperous field.

About generosity from the Image... I have no idea how to apply it to your question, but I wouldn't make it your biggest focal point. Concentrate on the moving line. Maybe at some point you'll see how the Image fits in.

Yes - try to figure out what's keeping you from senior positions, and try to change that.

By the way, I asked the question and the result was 12.5.6 to 16, blocked enthusiasm?
It appears that I'm constantly second-guessing myself and that leads to the change to a more abundant mindset not being completed. Perhaps I have to work on my self-concept more.

23.6
There is a large fruit still uneaten. Many more adventures to be had.
The superior man receives a carriage. The wise one is able to move forward.
The house of the inferior man is split apart. The foolish one can’t leave the past behind.

So I’m seeing the I Ching as telling you to release old limiting beliefs but also maybe literally advising you not to hold on to things that make you feel “poor”. Like pitch those old worn out shoes and get yourself something lively, some frisky sneakers that will carry you into a brighter world of oppportunity.
