What will happen if I leave my current job in the next few weeks? "11.2.3-24"

While I have been contemplating leaving my current position for some time now (actually for several years), I am at a crossroad and am considering leaving within the next several weeks without any other solid employment lined up. I live modestly and have resources that will sustain me for the rest of this year and possibly next year but I am a few years away from retirement and will likely need to explore other work, including opportunities that may provide greater flexibility, freedom and fulfillment.

I asked what will happen if I leave my current job in the next few weeks and received 11.2.3 - 24. My first reaction is that this is an auspicious time.

'Flow. Small goes, great comes.
Good fortune, creating success.'

I take this to possibly indicate that greater opportunities await me if I choose to leave.

Line 2
'Embracing emptiness, use this to cross the river.
Not distancing yourself from what you leave behind,
Friends disappear.
Gaining honour, moving to the centre.'

I interpret this to mean that I must make this decision on my own and that moving to the centre as a return to self.

Line 3
'There is no level ground without a slope,
No going out without a return.
Constancy in hardship is no mistake.
Do not sorrow about its truth.
In eating and drinking there is blessing.'

My first reaction to this is that should I leave, the way may not always be smooth and easy and there will be ups and downs. I will need to persevere and stay the course even when times are tough.

As for 24 UC, I'm less sure of it's meaning here. Can anyone provide greater clarity? Does this indicate a return to self and to authenticity?

'Returning, creating success.
Going out, coming in, without anxiety.
Partners come, not a mistake.
Turning around and returning on your path.
The seventh day comes, you return.
Fruitful to have a direction to go.'

Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide as I strive to make the best decision.

kindest regards.

11.2 Points to the need to not be too concerned or dependent on what other's are doing, Perhaps not to let the general prognosis of the world going to hell in a hand basket these days detour you from your own path?
11.3 Staying on one's own path through all of life's ups and downs. Encourages enjoying a supportive social life.
24. Return, as in taking a brake from the constant comings and goings in order to return to one's own sense of self. You are feeling you want to get back in touch with your deeper life's purpose.

It occurs to me that it may be note worthy that your question only asks about your leaving your current job and not about returning to the work force. Thus 11.2.3 - 24 could be saying "If you leave your job in the next few weeks it will be your own decision, 11.2, and in retrospect you will probably recognize the job had it's ups and downs so you might want to consider having a a farewell luncheon with a few friends , 11.3, before you withdraw completely, 24."
In other words, this answer may not be commenting on whether leaving is a good or bad idea or particularly what your employment future is if you do.

Thank you, Rosada. Your interpretation is very helpful and I greatly appreciate your thoughtful approach and your follow up note. I too got to thinking along the same lines in regard to future prospects and about a more graceful exit strategy with proper good-byes.

The biggest concern or obstacle to leaving is financial and the worry that I might end up regretting the impact of the decision on future stability. I earn a decent salary and have good workplace benefits and would be giving that up without much of a backup plan. It's not in my nature to make quick decisions so I asked Yi--before your second note-- "What will my future financial situation be if I leave XX (name of employer) this month?" I received 52.3>23. 52.3. Hex 52 (Stilling) seems to be saying not to obsess about the situation right now and to resist mulling over various scenarios in one's head. As for 23 (Stripping Away), Hillary's explanation of the original text could not be more clear:

It's no good, at such times, to imagine the future and make plans. You need to bring your energy back to the centre and honour the process: this is a time to be transformed, not to act. Moreover, until the old is so utterly stripped from you that you have no choice but to think in new ways, you will only be able to re-create the old patterns.

Do you agree?

I also asked "Where Should I Place my Focus Over the Next Six Months and received Hexagram 51.4.5 to 3 which I'm less clear about this and anything you can add would be appreciated.

Thank you!

51.4.5 Shock is about learning how to maintain calm in the midst of confusion.
3. is Confusion!
:eek::):eek:

Focus on maintaining awareness of your inner calm through this time of new beginnings. Meditation?

Hello
Could you look for your ideal job by staying for the moment in this company because 52.3 – 23 is not very reassuring... Take a few days of vacation if you need to meet people ect, while staying the course (51.5 you lose nothing...)

I agree with Matali. Your readings don't sound that great, so why not find another job before leaving your current one? It's also as a rule much easier to find employment while still being employed.

What will happen if I leave my current job in the next few weeks?
11.2.3 > 24

Grieving a loss and embracing the unknown, still having food and drink, feeling at ease.

What will my future financial situation be if I leave XX (name of employer) this month?
52.3 > 23

A very painful loss.

Where Should I Place my Focus Over the Next Six Months
51.4.5 > 3

The initial shock dies down, but is then followed by more consecutive shocks, leading to chaos.
