Where do we go from here? Got 13.5 to 30

Without giving to much TMI, I've been seeing a man on and off for 1 1/2 years who is terrified of being vulnerable and getting too close due to severe abuse and neglect as a child. He ends it abruptly, but comes back to me after few to several weeks. There is a deep bond and connection that continues to pull us together. He's been gone for 5 weeks this time. I asked where do we go from here?

Despite the difficulties, 13.5 is a good line for a romantic relationship that will be built little by little... There are many steps to be taken but I think you are both sincerely connected. Happy New Year
