Where is my new friendship headed? 13.4 to 37

Hi everyone, I'm new in this forum. I see that there is great insight shared here, and I hope to gain some perspective on my recent reading.

I asked: "In light of last night, where is my friendship with him headed?" I received this answer: Hexagram 13.4 changing to Hexagram 37.

I asked about the direction of my new friendship with a man that I am interested in. At this time, we both acknowledge that we are attracted to one another, and we seem to respect and appreciate one another. Last night, he invited me to meet and spend time with his friends and we all had a great time. I'm curious, though, about where my friendship with this man might be headed. And I'm wanting to understand what I Ching is telling me.

In my past, I have been one to really push for romantic relationships, feeling as though I was missing something without them. This caused me to push a lot of people away, grow depressed, and feel extremely isolated. Taking the time to get to know myself led me to a shift in perspective, however, and I have been able to put my desire and longing on the shelf so that I can approach things with greater clarity and a sense of my own completeness. It's been incredibly freeing. That said, I would appreciate growing closer to this man, and I'd like to get a sense about where, if anywhere, we might be headed.

It looks like 13 is about fellowship, 13.4 is about grievances, and 37 is about community...I am just unsure of how it relates to my question. Perhaps 13.4 has something to do with my own thought patterns and beliefs? Or perhaps a conflict is going to emerge?

as far as i know when you ask a love oracle and receive these hexagrams, there's a good chance that you will succeed. However you need to know how he's thinking of you (because of line 4), or else you can't push forward.

I think your reading is auspicious to the relationship with that man.
The friendship[13] is changing to family[37], (an opposite of 37 is 40 - liberation and freedom, so) with bonds growing stronger.

13.4 says that you are already on the wall, meaning the barriers between you have dissolved, just go on further it will be ok. You are hesitating (to attack) looking at him from the walls of your fortress, but there are no real threats, come out the gate and meet him

Thank you so much for your replies altair139 and ashteroid! Both of you have me thinking...I do feel much more open and the walls that I would normally put up in my relationships are down. Feels good!

Of course, there's just the tricky business of figuring out how he feels...
