What is it telling me?

Thank you, thank you, thank you...

Hi there

When when you asked "will i find my dream job" I believe the Yi is giving you advice on how you should apply yourself and in doing this may give you insight into what it is you want to do, do you know what your dream job would be?

Line 15.4 is describing someone in employment either the employer or the employed that should show a real interest in their work, a passion for diligence as said in the west ' pride in what you do" so I think you may need to find some form of employment or business where you can apply yourself. Its hard to do this if you hate your job or are under paid, so signs of this I would look out for.

Line 15.5 is the next line so I would take this as once you do know exactly what your dream job is, then you should go for this energetically , this is not wrong in this case. You do in fact need to , so this can become a reality.

31 in this case I would say is about a positive influence or possibly staying positive and upbeat about where you want to go with this, the hexagram can be about courtship and social relationships, i believe its the marriage lets say of you and your dream job, and what you would like.

Hope this helped
Steve

Hi Steve,

Yes indeed it helps, thank you.
I have tried to figure out my real interest, so I already have a close-to-complete picture. I have even applied to several places, it is that I just did not get "the job" yet and I was not sure what to do next :)
But anyway anyhow I did ask a kinda "yes/no" question from Chi, do you think I would take it as a yes?

Cheers,

, it is a yes if you follow the advice, its a no if you don't, what kind of work is your dream job if you dont mind me asking? So this makes sense in the reading, line 5 is saying about pursuing energetically,

I remember my mother encouraging me when I first left school after I kept getting kncked back after many interviews, i believe it was a type of recession and IT jobs were unheard of. So people used to line up for the most boring jobs on earth.

So yes the Yi i think is advising you to be persistent or pursue energetically, and chin up soldier, stay positive

It does, you would need to love your work to do that well also positions could be tough to get, however I think you can do this by not giving up on what you really want,

I see an element of letting something develop (or working on developing it) in the reading too. I think there's the suggestion that, it may not look exactly like your dream job at first, but if the fundamentals are right you can develop it more toward what you want it to be - through your sincere interest, willingness to do good work, and sound attention to building good relationships. So as Steve says, you need to love it, but as you're looking, or if you're offered something that doesn't seem exactly right, ask yourself, "Is what I want something that logically could develop from this? And you need to sense that two types of conditions will be right - first, your willingness/enthusiasm (which is how you express the modesty of line 4), and second, the quality of people and practices/culture of the hiring enterprise (without which there are no superiors or peers with whom you have a chance to develop the good relationships that will evolve the job or open the next door).

What williowjati is saying makes allot of sense, in that line of work you probably wouldnt be given a job straight away at a top position, you would most likely need to earn it as stated possibly via promotion.
