Will I get the job?

Hello everyone, I’m new to the community and happy to be a member of it!

I recently had a job interview and I consulted I Ching on whether I’ll get the position or not. I got Hexagram #4with changing lines 1&6, changing into hexagram #19.
Any insight is highly appreciated!

What I get is that I’m still inexperienced for this position and I need to improve my skills. But the most important thing is to learn from my past mistakes, try to correct them by being disciplined and accept the consequences. I also need to consult the ones who are above me and are more experienced. Only through correctness success will follow. Overall, I think I won’t get the job.

However, to be honest, I believe that hex #4 has more to do with my impatience in knowing the results as soon as possible. I keep looking for signs through astrology, tarot and I Ching that will give an answer to my continuous curiosity and anguish.

I think your interpretations make sense. 19’s advice about premature action creating misfortune could mean don’t give up hope too soon but also it could mean don’t count your chickens before they’re hatched. This is the problem with yes or no questions! Let us know..

I'd say you should pass a training course or something similar in order to go past the "Inexperienced" phase first; then yeah, you'll be employed.

Hey Mary, thanks for the interpretation. The thing is that I have experience for this position, both academic and working. I mean no training is needed in any case.

I like the posts that you have made here that indicate for you that this reading is more about your attitude towards the wider situation rather than this particular job situation.

Something about this situation is becoming easier for you to recognise (19) and the more you walk towards it the clearer it becomes. The 'thing', what ever it is , relates to an immaturity within you (4) and you have developed an 'act' that in a way will protect that small part of you. This approach / attitude / stance that you take may well have shown itself at the interview, or just after, or many times over the years and you are being advised to allow a more mature approach to come forward (4.1). How you act in these situations, actually acts against what you now want to happen. Rather than being a positive for you, as in your early days, it has now become a negative trait within you (4.6).
Good news, though, most of the difficulties have been seen for what they are and it's nearly time for you to complete the 'growing up' work needed. There is no rush and only you will be able to effect the change.
It's a bit like the scenario from many a childhood when you go on a long car journey and you keep asking the driver " Are we nearly there yet? Are we nearly there yet? " according to my interpretation of this reading, I'd say that you are nearly there. Remembering though that nearly is a relative thing and did all the asking do anything to make the journey any shorter, or the destination arrive more quickly.

..... or it may mean something else entirely.
