Work colleague

I have a bit of a history of denying my intuition, despite the fact I have always been extremely accurate and tend to see things months before others figure them out. So I am using the IChing to help make it a conscious process rather than stuffing the information away, which I'm particularly prone to do if its something negative I sense.

I have a colleague who I have experienced as lazy, yet presents a persona of innocence and naïveté.. Apparently my predecessor worked herself to the bone, and as I am a very hard worker I'm very wary of getting caught in the same dynamic as clearly this person did not pull their weight before. I started out very friendly but am backing off as she seems to manage to direct my energy into getting me to do things for her, playing the 'clueless' card..

However Iching does not seem to be confirming my gut feelings this time..or is it?

Character reading 10.1.2.5 to 25 treading to advancing..
Do I need to protect myself? 42.1 to 20 increasing to seeing
Her laziness, obstructing, not helping 23.6 to 2 stripping away to earth
Her connection to her job 5.1.5 to 46 waiting to pushing upward....

Hi folks..just checking in if anyone has any thoughts on this one?

On a non iching feedback.. A coworker out of the blue asked me today why I seem to do everything.. So I guess that's my answer it's not just a feeling but a reality others are noticing..

Still interested on the hexes I got though..

Hexagram 42 in particular says that when we see good, we imitate it, and when we have made a mistake, we correct it. About seeing the bad in other people the I Ching urges us to overlook their errors. That is the orientation of the I Ching, so when you ask about someone else's problematic character and how they are obstructing, I think you will find that the I Ching does not answer in a way that can be interpreted. That you got hex 10 for a character question implies that you are dealing with a difficult person.

Thank-you very helpful. I did not know the iching takes an 'approach' as such.. But that would explain why I felt my intuition wasn't being as clearly displayed.. I guess at this stage I should just trust my intuition -and focus more on questions to deliver positive outcomes..

Yes, trust your intuition. And the co-worker who asked why you seem to be doing everything has already borne you out.

Sometimes we get indignant. We feel another is in the wrong and we want the I Ching to say how bad that other person is. We want the I Ching to chime in and agree with us. Well, I have to say, it doesn't always comply with that wish of ours.

You got 23.6 when asking about her laziness and not helping. I think this indicates that her obstruction will be coming to an end and you will be free of this burden. I don't have a crystal ball and cannot say how that will be coming about, and maybe you might complain to the right person or in some other way be instrumental in changing the situation.
