Dear All,

I followed the plan mentioned in an earlier post and came out to Hong Kong for 3 - 6 months to work with my younger brother in his business (and I am more inclined to 3 rather than 6 months although in practice I could stay here forever as there is nothing to take me back to DK). My intentions were to learn as much as I could from him, to get away from the stagnation I was feeling at home and to try and heal a broken heart.

One month in and I have to say I have no regrets, it is a wonderful experience. BUT, it has become very clear that my brother and his wife want me to stay permanently (and to "find a nice Chinese girl and settle down"). Plus this is costing me a great deal of money and it now looks like I won't earn anything unless I do stay longer than planned. So part of me wants to say to them "ease off, I am only here for 3 - 6 months, even though I know there is no real reason to go back to Europe, it is nevertheless where I feel I belong". And part of me thinks, "stay, work, earn the money back, commit for longer than 3 months" (although not permanently, because my heart still hopes to be reunited with my lady in Europe).

All of this throws into question how much time I invest in trying to build up my training work here when I "know" it is only temporary. It feels pretty incongruent, to be honest. My question concerned how to make the best use of the time I have here, bearing in mind that my brother and I are in the same line of work, he is just much better at selling it than I am.
My question: " What do I need to do here?" the reply: 17.3.4 > 63

As I read it: Following means advancement through willpower (so, fight your demons of doubt and keep going down this road because you have a lot to learn from it).

But then comes line 3 with the little boy and the older man (bear in mind that I am 13 years older than my brother) - actually I see this as the inferior elements in me the indecisive, non-committal, not very successful bits that stop me grabbing life fully.
However in another reading here I see that lines 3 and 4 relate to failing to follow the needs of the inner child and getting trapped.

I want to walk the line that leads me to where I want to be - able to travel to and fro between Asia and Europe, running training courses. To do this I believed I would be able to learn a lot from my brothers business model (although some of it I already know doesn't apply to me).

So, what do I need to do here?
As ever, any thoughts would be very much appreciated.
Thank you.
M

P.S. A while earlier I also asked Yi "What about staying here longer than May?" and got 48 unchanging. Baffled me too.

Hi
A close relative is there too.funny because what your brother said to you is something I wish for that relative of mine...well he wants to stay there too.

My feeling from your post is that you already know what this reading means. Hex 17 always reminds me of tango dancers. It requires a combination of fluidy and determination, if that makes sense. Hex 63 also , could be seen as the dancing steps consist the dance.

Perhaps yi advises to be enthusiastic , in a childlike ( not childish way), but also wish as an older man. Sometimes older people are more careful than the situation requires, while younger taking more risks. In my eyes, h 17 asks to to assess what are you following whether that is within or without. Also, it's a time of resting and contemplation of future actions or concrete plans. Perhaps it's not time to take a final decision , but just feel your environ, and adapt to the times.

Good luck

Thanks Anemos - after today's positive events your response rings true for me - especially the resting and contemplation part - and the dancing bit too, I have to say - lovely response, thanks again!

Glad to hear that you already feel better. I could relate to your post/ situation. Without been 100% sure, that relative, knowing him well, has lost some opportunities because of some fixed views , missing to hear a bit his childlike part Problem is that his visa is about to expire and can't obtain a green card. Pray for him everyday.

Wish you all the best. Take care.
