27.5.6>3 Help! Question About a Job Opportunity

Hello Everyone on Clarity... Thank you so much for checking out my query... Long story short, I introduced myself to the manager at the store I would like to work at. I felt it went well. He was very nice... easy going, helpful, and took some time to talk to me. I felt like we had a good compatibility. He seemed interested in possibly having me work there, and I think he genuinely liked me. I asked the IC how he sees me as a potential employee and got a really positive reading, I think, 42.1.5>23. This person is not the Hiring Manager though, and although his support for me is very helpful, in the end someone else will decide weather or not to give me a go. I am feeling very encouraged though, and I would really like this to work out. Want to make sure I handle everything very carefully. So, I asked

"How should I proceed in order to get this job?"

and the IC answered with 27.5.6>3

This sounds to me like this is saying to prepare myself, to strengthen myself somehow, before pursuing this. Talks about independence here, but not sure how that relates to my question. But, line 6 also implies that, once I do whatever line 5 is talking about, I am in a very strong position. I have agreed to drop off some paperwork (an application to go along with the resume I dropped off there yesterday), and would love to have a better idea what this means before the next meeting later tomorrow. I am a little nervous/excited, and any input that may help me figure out my approach is greatly needed and appreciated. So, if you have a moment, and you know what this means or you have some experience with these lines, please, I would love to hear you. I will be eagerly looking forward to your stories and insights. I'm wondering if 27.5 is referring to the way you have approached the job opportunity? LiSe gives the impression that this line is about doing things your own way and not having too much concern for traditional methods.
Did the store advertise the post or have you taken the bull by the horns and approached them to find out? I've looked at your older posts but they don't really say how you found out about the position so I may be off target here.
Anyway, line 5 from LiSe:
Rejecting the regular path. A settling determination is auspicious. It does not permit wading the great stream.
Do things YOUR way, not like they 'ought' to be done. Accept no borders to your imagination. Then you can live in a small space. You will find all you need in your own soul and in your close surroundings. It is amazing how little food is enough when one eats only true food. I read this as not leaping at every available form of 'nourishment', but finding the correct type of 'nourishment' for you. Don't overlook the smaller opportunities just because a more 'sparkly' opportunity is also present. Think about what will best meet your needs, rather than what is more enticing.

Thanks LSD!!! Your interpretation makes perfect sense in light of the situation and my thoughts about it. I will explain in more detail later. Am going to go get ready to go out and drop off that application. Your ideas are brilliant as usual, and very perceptive. I can not tell you how much this helps. .. Feel much more confident now. I have totally gone about this in a nontraditional manner, and have been second guessing that approach. But, as you said, the IC says stick with it! Does seem to be working better...

About LSD's last posting. I did not approach the job in the most traditional way. I heard about an opening through a friend who has a friend that works there. I got their friend's number and contacted him via text message. He has been very helpful, trying to get me hired for the position, and so has the manager. Talked to the manager at the store I applied to today, and he said I all but have the job!... seems like it is just a matter of getting in for the interview. The store is in kind of a transition right now, so might not be til next week. He said they may end up having more hours for me than they expected, so maybe full time. I think they have had their hands full just covering shifts for the week... So, I'm very excited and hoping it will work out. I will keep you posted on any further developments.

Well, unfortunately this job did not work out for me, but I did at least make a connection with someone at the store who seems willing to help me out in the future. So, something good came of it. In the end, they're was someone in the company already who they moved into the position. But, the manager said if a position opens up, I'm at the top of the list. So, that is good news, and who knows? Maybe will work out in the future.
