36uc what is the energy of this connection?

I am becoming more interested in developing awareness of the energies around me.
Some would say the hex only relates to me, but connections to people are combined energies, so therefore I find it a bit harder understand the hexes when I ask this.

Person X: what is the energy of this connection? 36uc
Emm well maybe I hid my talents too much? But for once I actually listed some of my achievements.
Cocoon of transformation? Maybe an energy that will develop over time? We are both artists in the process of new work.

.6 surprises me as I'm so self-effacing usually, I'm very sure I still was!
I was also very careful to leave some silences and not feel I had to fill in the gaps, allow the other space..

Hi Lodestar,

the Hex 36 UC in this context says to me that you still under-evaluate yourself. That seems the connecting theme here - you feel very unsure, ask many questions to get it "right" so that you maybe forget to be YOU? Don't think of how to "present" yourself - just be Don't check off lists (leave spaces for other, list accomplishments) - this is not a job interview (or isit?)
Hex 60 shows a limitation in the energy connection and that is exactly what I see here too, you limit yourself - and 47 may mean that going on like this will only exhaust you...
On the other hand hex 40 could say, if you free yourself from the self imposed image projection demands, you will find progress with this person.

Sorry if this sounds a bit didactic and judgemental it is not at all menat that way. I just found many things of myself in your posting, things I have done a lot and hope to avoid in the future, so I could sort of identify.
If my comments don't strike a chord in you, just disregard them!

Hi Maui, thanks so much for your reply. I appreciate it. :bows: Well it's an semi-formal situation of professionals from the same industries socialising so an element of networking is a part of that. People ask and are interested in knowing all about what you do.

I do understand what you are saying, however I've never understood the 'be yourself' concept. Being myself is 100% 36UC! That's how I present myself to myself when I am in the privacy of my own mind. That is where I am most comfortable with others, under-valuing myself makes me feel safe.

I leave space not to be controlling, but to try let go of control, my nervousness would have me overwhelm the other person with talking too much..so in leaving space I'm trying to just remain aware of the present moment and not be at the mercy of my own insecurities.

So I will ask another question
How can I be more in touch with my core self, with source energy, in the company of successful people/people I admire? 20UC

This seems to tie in with leaving space, not getting caught up in the whirlwind of encounters..

How can I move on from hexagram 36, how can I start to value myself? What do I need to help me in this thing I find so difficult? 11.2-36 (wow 36 comes up freaky!!)

Maybe this is to carry on travelling this somewhat lonely road I'm on, as I seek to find a way to successfully express myself through my art and writing.

I hear what you are saying about "H36 being 100% what is being myself" I know what you mean...it would certainly look that way would it not?

Your question about how be more in touch with your core energy is 100% in accordance with my own experineces - Hex 20 Observing (Mindfulness to me would be a better translation). Allow yourself to be/feel/think whatever is there and see it. When you allow yourself that, without corrective action (since you recieved it unchanging that is to me a strong indication) that means seeing both the hiding away AND the light below it. That I believe is the key here. You do not need to actively move away from H36, but rather see it in its entirety, then it will change into something else by itself, and naturally.
So, I'd stay with your first answer H 20 UC, and see where it leads you...

So I am both the light and the hiding of the light - I keep trying to become something else but this has been my core life dynamic and hiding the light is sometimes the wise thing to do, I am a moon child so maybe I need to appear and disappear.

I am currently finding my way too, trying to incorporate all of me without choosing some parts as acceptable and some not...- I am too, very interested to see where the way will lead...
So maybe in a year or so we can go back to this thread and compare the results
