I've gone into a state of depression- I haven't felt this way for quite some time so it's kind of taken me by surprise although in hindsight I understand how I got here.
I have had a cancelled sit which means I have nowhere to essentially go for the next two weeks. I have decided to either spend two weeks on my own camping in my new camping fitout in my van or go back to a place I was quite welcomed but it's not ideal.
What would be best to help alleviate my depression at this time
2 weeks camping on the south coast
38.2.5>25
Hex 25 means I'm not beholden to anyone re housesitting chores but there maybe some sort of opposition with someone camping?? Not sure on this.

Or
Find somewhere to stay close to W town

Hex 59 unchanging Disperse my depression.....

The first reading sounds good but it might depend on what you think "going on" means ("Regrets vanish. Your ancestor bites through the flesh. Why would going on be wrong?")

I remember reading things where "going on" meant the proposed action was not a good idea - so the line meant going on from it - but as we know, lines can work differently in different readings.

Also does 38 mean your depression (inner alienation?), or as you say, will there be some sort of opposition there.

59 doesn't sound bad, either -
'Dispersing, creating success.
The king assumes his temple.
Harvest in crossing the great river,
Harvest in constancy.'

- but it's unchanging which can be tricky, and who is the king in his temple? If you'd be staying with someone, the king might not be you. On the other hand, your question was what effect it would have on your depression, so maybe again this is an inner thing, and you'd feel like you were back in charge of yourself.

With 25 there in the first reading, do you have to figure out which is "best"? Could you try one, and if it doesn't go well, leave?

Also wonder if maybe it won't make much difference. Maybe your location won't be what fixes this, maybe you'll feel better regardless. I think 25 could be that, too - maybe it'll get better naturally, you won't have to do something for your inner king to go back in his castle.

This would make "going on" mean to go on normally, do what you'd do if the depression wasn't a factor, use other criteria.

I feel very flail-y about these, though.

38.2.5>25: put things into perspective. The quarrel is not that big, it helps to see things from another point of view, if you can put yourself in the other person´s shoes, there is something to gain, knowledge, deeper understanding, future dispelling of the misunderstanding, and so on. Sure, you wanted to talk it out but neither time nor circumstances will allowed it for now (38.2) So use this downtime (you called it depression) to reflect on yourself, be sincere, don´t hide things from yourself, don´t use substances or alcohol to get through, because you will get much better with out them. After that move forward without doubt. Leave naivety to someone else, you need to wise up now. (25) Dispers you rigid thinking, (59) and crack this nut (sadness) open with sharp and rational thinking.

Depression is a shitty state, I'm prone to it and have its experience so I sympathize.

Not a bad idea. In 38.2 you meet your master in a lane- not a ideal place for this meeting-, still it is helpful, and for 38.5 Hilary says: why going on would be wrong? Also, in this line your ancestor bites through the skin. I wonder if you have family there whose presence can be helpful.

Not sure. It may mean this option will disperse your depression, or recommend you to disperse the idea.

I spoke to a man in the lane, which was is a community camp kitchen and that sorted something out for me.
I also talked to the thought controller in a lane of my mind and that helped too.
Moving forward to a happier time I believe....thanks for your insights.
