Help with 48 The Well unchanging

Just starting out and hoping for some insight into 48 unchanging - would like to read the thoughts on interpreting the below please

What are ‘name of point of interest’ hopes for the future of our relationship

48 The Well (unchanging)

Relationship is in a stalemate and we are currently not in communication hence me not being sure of the interpretation.

What is the Well here? Usually on receiving 48 we have to think about what well where ? The well will be some source of supply, water, that which brings life. People settle where there's water, that's what ancient people's did. The warning is if the rope breaks or the jug leaks - that is when the water cannot be reached.

Supposing the water here is the affection and joy and attraction between you? Well it might be there but if no one has the means to reach it then it may as well not be.

If he hopes for anything at all he will need to communicate it to you otherwise nothing is happening. You both need to work on this to make this well function as a source - it's not going to happen without the two of you putting something into it.

Generally the question you asked is problematic as it's trying to mind read. You are better off asking what you can expect, always basing the questions from your own POV. That way you can understand the answer better.

Also more literally could he be thinking of leaving and going to find work elsewhere? The well is a resource people go towards like a city is a well for work.

For what it's worth, I once asked how much I could trust someone I care about a lot and got 48uc, which I took to mean that as long as I took proper care of the relationship that this person would be reliable and someone that I could go to for support.

And that's turned out to be true. But it does take effort and work to keep things flowing clear.

So... your question is a bit unclear... but perhaps that's what it's hinting at? Like Trojina said: what's the water here? What's the jug? What's the rope? Look for those things and see what might be amiss.

(Personally, Hexagram 48 is one of my favorites regarding relationships. I feel like its symbolism is extremely clear.)

My take on 48 uc to that question is that the good source is there but they do not know if they will be able to access it.

Like you say, the question wasn’t framed in the right way

I just feel a particular affinity to Hexagram 48, which is why I was inspired to comment
