Half a year ago I asked a question if I should make a career move (as in switch employer) and got 13 4.6 63. I took it as I should stay put and I did. (Did I even read it correctly??)
The background: there’s no progress of any kind for me in my current position, but this is a stable job no one gets fired From. As my salary didn’t increase at the same pace as my rent/food. plus lots of family related unexpected expenses. rainy day savings are gone, can only afford a day trip vacation.
A month ago I asked where to seek employment to increase my salary and get 54 2.3.4 36. I read it as stay put, again, there will be opportunity later? I am hex 36 I think. I have phd on the analytics team where everyone else don’t even have a technical degree (or degree at all)..

I really don’t get it at all when it comes to job.
Sometime ago I asked “what should I know about this person” and got 10.5 which is easier to interpret. But what kind of job lines 4.5 describe??
Somehow it makes me feel like I need to be very cautious about my current job and not demanding more but pleading. 41 is concerning too. I also read it as to prey to my Gods, chant my mantras, ask them to help me..

I don't think H10.4.5 describes a job, but rather what to consider when you want to change jobs.
H10 is Heaven above Lake.
Among other things, Lake is about social interaction and getting off the beaten path, Heaven is the rules, laws and timing. So together they warn you to be careful.
Heaven turns into Mountain. Heaven with 2 moving lines shows that there is no overview of the situation. Mountain asks to takea step back and oversee the whole situation.

10.4
Heaven turns into Wind, the trigram of planning and the long term. At this position, it calls for not making any hasty decisions, but preparing any change well and taking into account that it will take some time.
When only this line moves you get H61 Inner Truth, the hexagram of trust and reliability.
So this line seems to say that you can take the step provided you observe the above.

Heaven turns into Fire, the trigram of making things transparent, clear, as well as relationships.
In this position, you are the King, the leader of the process. Once you've made the decision to change jobs, be yourself under all circumstances and don't be guided by insecurities and fears, including those of others.
When only this line moves you get H38 Opposition "Thus amid all fellowship the superior man retains his individuality."
It could be the case that when you decide to change jobs, this gives you opposition (with your current job or colleagues).

H41 in this case thus seems to indicate reducing risks by being well organised.

This would be my interpretation. As always, take what resonates and leave the rest

As a response to How to prepare for my next job? I see these hexagram lines as advising “caution and circumspection lead ultimately to good fortune” and “maintain a strong resolve.”
This reads to me like you should keep looking for new opportunities but also to assume you are not going to be finding a better position just yet and 41 might even be warning you to tighten your belt as your salary hasn’t kept up with inflation.
I have found 10 to be about speaking truth to authority so I’m wondering if talking to the higher ups in your current job would be helpful? But with “caution and circumspection” of course!

This looks to me again and again to stay put :/ to risky to do anything now.

Last winter I pushed for more money and sure I didn’t any more than 2%.. I felt like I sounded greedy and after consulting with I Ching, I called my boss and explained my family situation. I have never ever brought up personal matters at work but war doesn’t happen that often to people and he was very understanding.
@rosada to your point speaking to higher ups.. I used to report to the division executive who was in charge of the whole team budget. Then we got restructured and I went on the national team and under a manager, not an executive. My boss needs to go and ask his boss for more money, and I am rarely in direct contact with her to ask her.

If you want immediate change then you are right, but of course you can plan for change. Working on it and knowing that you will change jobs in a certain amount of time can go a long way towards easing the situation.

I received same 18 when I asked why my bf ghosted me. I was dating a great guy and it was a wonderful relationship in every sense and he ghosted me out of blue.. thought of gradma then too and her curses and spells..
