my health 48.3

Hello everyone,
I have some health problems. Recently I was diagnosed with a hiatal hernia, which is irritating the vagus nerve and it is causing severe heart palpitations. I've been on a diet for a few years now, trying to deal with autoimmune problems and inflammation.
I'm now at my wits end with yet another physical problem. I asked: Will my health problems ever go away? I received 48.3
It's interesting, the mentioning of the heart an the mind: "The well is cleared, but no one drinks from it. This is my heart's sorrow, For one might draw from it. If the king is clear-minded, Good fortune might be enjoyed in common." - Wilhelm

So my 'heart's sorrow', it's a physical pain, but also it causes me sadness, because I've been in pain for so long. And my mind is not clear. Also these problems make me feel left out of society, I cannot join in because I am so low on energy and I cannot be sociable with food and drink. It's hard.

Could anyone else shed a light on my reading?

The answer describes a well with clear water which, however, it is not used for 'food', and the result is 29, too much water - and also danger which returns over and over again. Both the line, and 29, mention the heart, and 29 specifically says that one has to 'maintain' the heart. The king in health questions usually refers to a specialist doctor in my experience.

So all in all I'd say that the doctors have not yet discovered the true cause of your health troubles, hence they keep happening. As about what this unused well/water is, I really don't know. A fluid of some sort, perhaps a blood issue, or a dehydration issue (usually connected with calcium problems), or perhaps something else that I can't think of right now.

Thank you Diamanda, as far as the doctors know, my heart is in great condition, but this mentioning of fluids/ water has got me thinking. Taking a holistic view it could mean both some problem with water, fluids and/ or emotions maybe? At least for me 29 is always associated more with emotions than physical danger (but maybe that is my take on it).
A specialist is indeed next on the list of things to do

It seems like you fell into the Well about three years ago, and have been in the Cauldron ever since...my heart goes out to you!

48.3 is an auspicious cast, so the easy answer to "Will my health problems ever go away?" is Yes.

The water is running clear but the wooden well wall is damaged and in need of repair. Once this repair is done, then the well will become serviceable, again.

I once had a lady ask for a reading on the question, "Why do I feel this way?" She was suffering from indigestion, acid reflux and burping after each meal, and had been for a while, but it had recently gone from uncomfortable to sometimes painful.

We used yarrow beads and she picked 48.3. I made the same reading then ~ the third plank in the wood lining had rotted (from green to black) and needed fixing. I used this Five Elements Classification Table to scan down the "Wood" column...

...it was more digestion related than blood, so the liver didn't look like a good suspect. I wondered what a "Cholecyst" was and found out that it's gall bladder related.

I'm not a doctor, so when people ask me health related questions, I almost always make a reading on whether that person should see a doctor, or not, as opposed to offering a diagnoses.

In her case, I recommended that she see her doctor and discuss her situation with an eye towards assessing her organ function. Blood work was done, and her gall bladder was barely functioning at 15%. Her doctor gave her a referral to a fantastic specialist, who removed her gall bladder. Now, she's fully recovered, pain free, and even recently won praise at work for successfully bringing home a major project on time and under budget.

I don't know what your situation is ~ it might have nothing to do with your gall bladder ~ but I second diamanda on seeing a specialist ~ and keep your spirits up, too ~ the Yi seems to think that you are close to finally climbing out of 48.

Thank you for your kind words and for your interpretation, it is very helpful. When I read your reply this jumped out at me:

Of course: the damage of years has been done. The water is clear e.g. my blood and all the toxins causing the problems are out, but now I need to be patient, there's still work to be done. I think I get the feeling of the changing line a bit better now.

48zhi29. It seems like you'll be able to solve your health problems, especially the newer one. In the reading, using the Wen Wang Gua method, there are 2 lines labeled with the symbol for illness (one of those is the active line in the third place) and 2 lines labeled with the symbol for doctor/treatment. So, it seems like there are 2 different causes/illnesses, one openly perceived and the other one more subltle. The doctors seems to be uneffective to treat the illnesses. You may want to look for a second opinion; more test for concealed causes; and even maybe to find new doctors.

Thank you for your kind words. And you are right: today I've seen a specialist, and I have a mechanical problem, which is now being taken care of. And he suggested that I have another underlying condition which has to do with my thyroid, which I need to get tested. So yes, it seems there are two problems and if this is really what's going on, than there is a bit of hope for recovery!
