Well it's on topic if one considers the Neanderthal man may also have been subject to the ear worm.

I'm quite interested in the pre homo sapiens, I don't know why...just another weirdity of mine. Can you imagine living in a cave that might have bears and lions in....ah but no phone calls about changing your electricity suppliers

Weirdest earworm yet - Shostakovitch 'Cello Concerto. We played it last Saturday with a fantastically brilliant young soloist (Michael Petrov, remember the name), and even though I don't know it particularly well, it's been playing in my head in detail ever since.

Well, it beats the Chicken Song .

Good question ! I like Tubular Bells, well used to, I don't know anymore. I think the thing with the ear worm is it can turn you off music you once liked.

Yes that song you posted is a real feel good song....it kind of puts a spring in your step whether you like it or not.

It's also worth bearing in mind sudden tunes doing instant replay in your head can be a message or a warning. One day I know I kept close to the wall in a narrow tunnel and a big big truck nearly squished me.....I can't even recall the song but the refrain had been playing in my head well before I got to the narrow tunnel...oh dear what was it now....I don't know but I do recall thinking 'why the heck is that playing'.

See there are ear worms...and then there are ear worms. Mike Oldfield got to my head because it was on TV...but other times they just appear out of nowhere, there's been no trigger so to speak. Then they can be messages.

Been a Frank Zappa fan since early 60's. Saw him at The Garden mid 70's Halloween eve. His son, Dweezil, has picked up the gauntlet in this dedication to his father's genius. Frank must be very proud of him.

Not into drum solos so from the beginning of that to end, over 2 1/2 hours into it, it's just a concert to me. Also not that into Steve Vai either, but Frank did take him under his wing as a young virtuoso, and this gave him some real musical substance to join with.

It's more like a snake than a worm but it's in my head, so here 'tis.

Serious infection

Yes this is a serious infection. I can't shift it. I don't know how it got in there.....it's just there when I wake up ! First thing in the morning....in the bathroom....at random during the day. I don't know where it came from...I must have heard it recently and it got lodged.
