I discovered the artist this summer, Bill Callahan. This one song of his, 'Eid me clack shaw' has been haunting me since the first time I heard it. I wondered wath 'Eid me clack shaw' meant, so I did some researching on the web.

I found an interesting take http://bolesblogs.com/2009/08/13/the-meaning-of-eid-ma-clack-shaw/
Eid Ma Clack Shaw, as I hear it, is split into two parts. The narrator has two separate but equally important dreams. In the first dream, he has a dream in which his departed lover — by death or other means — visits him. That dream shakes the narrator, in such a profound manner that he is awakened. He wishes that there were a way to rid himself of such painful memories.

That dream leads into the second part of the song. The narrator falls back asleep and is suddenly inspired to compose the most perfect song. This song, he says, contains all the answers — perhaps how to rid himself of memories. He then somewhat awakens and manages to write down the lyrics to this song that he has written in the dream — but then when he fully awakens, he has scribbled the following:

Eid ma clack shaw
Zupoven del ba
Mertepy ven seinur
Cofally ragdah

I feel a little bewitched.. and I am loving it :D

Current on incessant internal playlist an old song I keep singing. If anyone can explain the narrative in the video I'd be interested because I can make neither head nor tail of it.

Get it away from me...get it out of my head....NOW :hissy: I heard it once, in a shop last week, an old song I'd forgotten....and worse it appears to be about hexagram 50

This works because now it won't bother me anymore. I heard it once, in a shop, everyone stopped. Everyone in that shop is likely infected. That was last week, I thought it would have gone by now.

What a weird song. I hope it's gone from your ear.

(I would end up in the hospital if I tried to do that.)

It's not completely gone but it is much improved thank you. For me this clinic works fairly well, like an antibiotic...but it's still there a bit.

Very often threads start off my earworms. Someone posts 'does he love me ?' and automatically 3 or 4 songs show up in my ears each time I see the goddamn thread. I wish people would post thread titles that aren't songs.
