What is the best advice you can give me for this relationship to be the best

I have a relationship with someone that is not well defined, I asked what is the best advice to be the best possible relationship, whatever the nature is and the answer is 8.2-29.
Would the answer mean: stay there as long as you feel good in your heart, if not it will be like corrupting myself?

i think your interpretation is a good one. i'd add that if you feel at all compromised by having to change who you are in order to gain the approval of others, no-one benefits. stick to your own attitude. stick to your own judgements. and dont do anything that feels inherently wrong to you and your integrity. and Yi seems to have the utmost faith that you know who you are, and that your not willing to change just to fit in.

well, there's a fine tightrope to walk along when trusting your 'inner self'. first you have to know what you want. otherwise you may be trusting your ego, or just a whim.

but as far as your question to the i ching goes. the i ching is saying that you already know what your willing to accept in this particular situation. and whatever you have decided, is entirely correct. dont overanalyse it. go with your first instincts regarding this. the i ching is saying your right.

Hex 8 line 2 advises to seek union based on inner principles and inner connection, not on external circumstances. That means: you don't expect the other to be the answer to your problems, you don't try to please the other just to make the relationship work, you don't agree with everything just because you want to be in that relationship.

So, it is a relationship in which you don't sacrifice your own wishes for the sake of others and also you don't try to use the other for your own benefit. The union should work from within, based on genuine feelings and connection.:bows:
