h3 -fresh from the press...

the story : I had a meeting with an organization in order to discuss their offerings and see if they match my needs. Went prepared, with print outs- they didn't have any to send me- and questions because the info on their site was limited. After the 4th question about a product the offer and the 4th answer "NOooo , there is not such a thing" -while it was in my print outs:brickwall: - and after taking deep breaths to remain calm and polite when they answer I go was " there is a pdf in the site , look more carefully or go to the secretary to show you the link" - all this with an attitude, I tried to close the conversation and went to the secretary. She told me that there has been some changes the last two days, there there is not such a pdf-file and generally they are in a transition and their site/ info are kind of "under construction" and its all the site's maintenance company fault.

I left disappointed from what i saw , frustrated from their behavior and the luck of professionalism, and with many doubts about the qualities of their services. They have a monopoly, so it explains some things...

anyhow ,I asked Yi what i need to understand about them : h3 - "The epitome of chaos", was the first words came into mind.

Not sure what to do yet with them... will refrain from any decision for awhile , yet h3 described so accurate the state they were, and calmed me down and made me stop thinking all those discourses about pdf or products that were existing or not depending to whom I was talking . I surely need that *winks eye* from Yi .

What a great answer. If you'd asked what is romance you'd likely receive 31, if you'd asked what is marriage you'd likely receive 32. But what is love (real love, not infatuation or fantasies or foolery), I can not think of a better answer than 3uc.

I love that Knot. It feels so true, like twins in a womb...but also what people just do. I notice the complementary hexagram is 50. Hex 3 brings people and things into connection, formations, cell divisions, beginnings of formations of all kinds. Hexagram 50 cooks em so they can be used and created and made into something that hasn't been made before !

Not sure how much sense that makes....I think it needs some kind of 3/50 poem ...Anyway.....

...... I recently got 3, with lines, for a query about car MOT test. What was central to that was trusting the mechanics who I have gotten to know...'feudal lords', helpers....and also even just another shade of love. I never have thought love is only the whole romantic thing...it might seep in all over the place, even in garages. But I find your dream image just so very true and it leads me to reflect on how sometimes it isn't the text of Yi that takes us to understanding but our own direct intuition and knowing through dreams and so on.

Here is a hex 3 dream I had a while back. It seems to be far more about the orientation aspect of hex 3, (sounds in particular 3.3 ) though in the dream it was just hex 3
Yi Dream I take a detour on the way to see someone and get terribly lost. I am no longer in my city...I'm going though countryside, then I'm in another town. All this time I am getting later and later for my appt. I ask people the way. Sometimes I'm driving, sometimes on foot. On the street no one knows at all which direction my home town is in. This is very odd as I was there a moment ago and I am wondering how I can be so lost. As I'm struggling...maybe I park my motorbike to ask more people, I over hear a woman on a phone talking about hexagram 3. I'm quite surprised and want to wait for her to finish talking so I can tell her about Clarity and so on and tell her I do I Ching and so on and so on...but at the back of my mind I have these other problems. I need to get to the appt and I need to find my way but I'm also interested in how hexagram 3 comes into this because hexagram 3 starts seeming more interesting than the other problems...or I sort of think hexagram 3 is the answer to the problem. Also I find it highly synchronistic and coincidental that a woman just happens to be talking about hexagram 3 on the phone near to where I happen to be asking the way. I start talking to her and kind of draw on the wall a sort of map of how she can access Clarity...does she know about it ? Meanwhile I'm also aware I am meant to be getting un lost and getting to the appt. At one point I am both trying to talk to her and also ask passers by about the way. I'm really trying to work things out and I think if these people don't know where my home town is is how the heck will I ever find my way. Then I think maybe if I ask them where they are then I can work it out from there. However they don't even seem to know where they are ! I'm puzzling this out.....thinking so hard. How can I find the way when no one knows where they are .?....As I surface to consciousness I struggle to think of the thing I need. It is of course a map !! Then I'd know where I was in relation to where I want to be....I think.

Interesting! Hex 50 had been a yearly hex reading of mine and after coming to a good sense of "consolidates [her] fate" by the fall of that year, new energy was finding its way into my life circumstances. Towards the end of the year, I had 3uc for a "what would be best to be aware of this week?" question. That week began a new height of contention in my marriage which waxed and waned for some time into the next year. The nuclear hex 23 "submit to the bad time and remain quiet" also became a prominent influence that week and in future readings as well. Curiously, now that I count it out, nine months later I left to begin a new life...

Looking back then, for me, the complementary hexagram, hex 50, was a "source" influence with hex 3 as the beginning of it's outward expression.

This has come up for "What if I ask for a letter of completion?" I e-mailed the director, and he said he will forward my request to his colleague who will write it. "It furthers one to appoint helpers." I also thought, "a third party will do it."

I received Hex 3 unchanging just this morning. I had left in the morning to get brunch with a friend then go to acupuncture. In the middle of the acupuncture treatment (I was resting with the needles) I shot up in the bed with the sudden realisation I think I forgot to turn off the gas under the eggs I had boiling on the stove. I wasn't sure if I had: so very gently with needles in my elbows and wrist I cast a reading.

Did I leave the eggs boiling on the stove? 3 unchanging.

The lower Zhen (thunder, to move) the upper Kan (water, the abyss).

Needless to say I legged it home as soon as possible, and sure enough my apartment was full of smoke and the poor eggs were black in an empty saucepan. I'm so lucky I didn't cause a fire.

It's very fitting though also, that the egg is very similar to a seed or kernel.

The I ching is wonderful in it's symbolism

I must be as thick as wood but I don’t get what pregnancy, love, feeling depressed and forgetting something on the stove have in common.

It’s called difficulties at the beginning. Love and pregnancy can mean something is germinating, ok. It fits. Feeling depressed may be related to chaos around you, ok. With some effort I can fit that into too.

But eggs on the stove? Would that be referring to chaos As in “you made a total mess?”.
Or since it was eggs and eggs are what live things are born from, then it goes back to germinating?
But since eggs were boiling, not much germination possible..

If you had to summarize 3 in a few words, what would you say?

That's interesting. I'm in one of my usual funks because I'm in the usual tangle of my life being very stagnant and needing to make changes that better support my physical and mental and emotional health issues, but nothing is moving despite all the internal energy work I've been doing and I don't have what is required in order for me to be able to change my situation so my health can stabilise.

Like millions of other people round the world I guess, being constrained by lack of money (another type of energy of course) and housing because the system in the west is so utterly corrupt.

In despair I Eeyore-ily told Yi, "My life feels totally over." Result: 50UC.

As a follow-up I asked, "What does this 50UC indicate I need to be cooking to have a transformed life?": 3UC

Cooking With Chaos. Yum yum.

It all feels very ethereal to me. I'm left with the impression that as usual. I'm pushing too hard and trying to consciously solve things with reason where maybe this is all bubbling away on a much deeper level so not requiring that kind of efficient engagement.

Sorry this isn't an example of my experience as such. I just thought this might possibly be helpful for anyone else with the complementary hex aspect but I dunno, maybe not.

The Seed-Star of 3 is reaching out.

Sending delegates, enlisting guides, reaching out for matrimony....
or has failed to and is advised to.

The webs that comprise the tapestry of our lives needs anchor threads to hook to.

Drop the idea that 3 means chaos,
it's just an early stage of growth with difficulty at the beginning, and
what needs to be done at that stage:
reaching out feelers... for help
in order to climb or root.

the only chaos is the emotional chaos with the failure of line 6 to bond.

Well, it certainly feels chaotic, that's for sure.

I just received another 3UC after asking thw tiny little question, "Is humanity going to reclaim its sovereignty in my lifetime?" Just a minor little Q as I lie here on the bathroom floor with coffee up my arse, contemplating how humanity – the giant swell of us – continues to be manipulated by a comparatively small number of people. Those people get more powerful by the day, allied to its tech toys and power grabs, and I would be personally disappointed if the horse didn't collect itself and realise it could take the bit out of its own mouth and ride in a freer direction.

And we haven't done that yet. But I retain some tiny hope that we will.

Grassroots. Networking. Community level support to strengthen ourselves instead of this incessant horizontal fighting brought to you by our fear papered over with rage and Glaxo-Colgate-Palmolive-Microsoft-Raytheon

Anyway, on to Hexagram Three Unchanging. Although I don’t have a personal story in all cases, I do have one for this casting, so here we go.....

I was just out of university and had been married a year or so, had been working with the Yi Ching a bit but not all that familiar yet. Finding that I was feeling sick all the time, dizzy, exhausted, swollen, I consulted a doctor who found no immediate cause and ordered a battery of tests. I was a bit frightened and consulted the Yi in desperation, casting: Hexagram Three Unchanging. Oh my GOD, something growing – and I thought immediately of tumors. Meanwhile the doctor said if the tests were inconclusive then exploratory surgery might be an option when the Christmas holiday concluded the following week. I panicked.

Drove with my husband to my parents’ place at the New Jersey beach for Christmas Day, crossing a four-lane bridge out of Philadelphia, wedged in traffic and barrelling along at 70 miles per hour, I was overcome with nausea. He whipped the car into a delicatessen on the other side of the bridge and I jumped out and threw up behind a hedge, then glanced up at the neon sign advertising “Hoagies!” Ever been to Philadelphia? These are Italian lunchmeat sandwiches and best on earth. My hubby bought two. He ate one. I ate half of one, threw it up, ate the other half and went to sleep.

At the beach the salt air perked me up a bit. We went inside where the turkey was cooking and I ran for the bathroom to be sick again, then slept for all of Christmas Day and got up in time for dessert when I downed two huge pieces of minced meat pie with a barrel of coffee. Said my concerned Mother – What are they testing you for? I told her tumors. She said, well that’s interesting because I’d bet this house that you are pregnant.

AH! Hexagram Three Unchanging. ;)

Primordial soup. Both coming to life and returning to death. My significant others ex wife, my step children's mother, went into cardiac arrest Thursday. She was in the hospital on life support. First I pulled two cards about the situation yesterday. The 10 of cups and the 9 of cups. Happy cards...but perhaps a poetic loss of a cup. I asked I Ching what would be her outcome. I received 3 unchanging. They took her off life support last night and she passed away.
