1.2.6 changing to 49 about a relationship

Goodmorning all of you,
this is my first post and I hope someone will help me in better understanding what the I Ching wants to tell me.

I asked what does X feels for me? And I got 1.2.6 changing to 49
Then I asked if we will be together again and I got 39 unchanging

We have been together for two years, then we faced many problems and we separated, it has been a very hard time. We don't live in the same country anymore, but we kept in touch and now he is getting close to me again, saying I am the woman of his life. There is a chance we will meet next month. And after what he said I think that would be a chance to talk about us. I am still in love with him, but I am afraid to suffer again.
What is the I Ching saying? Does he want to revolution our relationship and forget the past? Is this a possible reading? But 39 doesn't look very good. I am confused.

I would like to add that I've then asked to the I Ching 'how do you see our future?'

and the answere was 51.2 changing to 54.

If i understand correctly 51 is about a shock, a big (positive?) change, but I don't get what 51.2 means... should I stay away from him and wait? What should I expect?

What does X feels for me?

1.2.6 (The Creative) -> 49 (Revolution, Molting)
Line 2: He wants to make contact
Line 6: He doesn't want to come too strong
Hex 49 (Wilhelm):
The two trigrams making up the hexagram are the same two that appear in Opposition (38).
But while there the elder of the two daughters is above, and what results is essentially only an opposition of tendencies, here the younger daughter is above. The influences are in actual conflict, and the forces combat each other like fire and water (lake), each trying to destroy the other. Hence the idea of revolution.
He is conflicted inside, as you are.

If we follow the lines, 1.2 -> 13(Fellowship), 13.6 -> 49.
He wants to unite, but 13.6 says (Wilhelm):
"Fellowship with men in the meadow. No remorse."

The warm attachment that springs from the heart is lacking here. We are by this time actually outside of fellowship with others. However, we ally ourselves with them. The fellowship does not include all, but only those who happen to dwell near one another. The meadow is the pasture at the entrance to the town. At this stage, the ultimate goal of the union of mankind has not yet been attained, but we need not reproach ourselves. We join the community without separate aims of our own.

The meeting will be casual. He is not very serious now.

If we will be together again

39 Obstacles (Wilhelm):
We are surrounded by obstacles; at the same time, since the mountain has the attribute of keeping still, there is implicit a hint as to how we can extricate ourselves. The hexagram represents obstructions that appear in the course of time but that can and should be overcome.

Looks like you have to overcome many obstacles before you can be together.

How do you see our future?

51.2(Shock) -> 54(The Marrying Maiden, Inferior position)

line 2 (Wilhelm):
Resistance would be contrary to the movement of the time and for this reason unsuccessful. Therefore he must simply retreat to heights inaccessible to the threatening forces of danger. He must accept his loss of
property without worrying too much about it. When the time of shock and upheaval that has robbed him of his possessions has passed, he will get them back again without going in pursuit of them.

I think this depicts You and Him breaking up, going to a different country, and then Him finding you again.

54 speaks of marriage, but with a sense that it wouldn't be really productive. The wife doesn't bear a child, another woman does instead.

Yi only can show the most probable future, it's your choices that affect the outcome.
I think more will be revealed later, after you meet with him.

Hex 39 unchanging means that the obstruction exists only in your own mind and there is no obstacle other than that.

I have the feeling you could have asked better questions of the I Ching regarding this relationship, so I'd like to recommend that you read the Sticky post written by HIlary at the beginning of Shared Readings on how to ask relationship questions . . .

I didn't reply before because I was abroad for work, I apologize for that.
Both reading are very close to our situation and helped me in reading it better, thank you.

He cannot easily travel from his country and I cannot easily reach him, and this make things more complicated. It's true, Ashteroid,

The chance to meet again it's not completely in our hands, because our visa applications could be rejected.
He recently asked me to officially invite him in my country (it's the first time he straightly asks me this question since we separated) because he needs to see me, even if for a short time.
And as you said, Ginnie,

I feel in danger because I'm afraid to suffer again, although I hope I'm wrong.

So I asked the I Ching:
With which purpose he wants to come visit me?
And the answer was 61,3.4.5 changing to 14.

And then I asked about myself:
How do i have to behave in this situation?
And I got 34,1 changing to 54 (again)

While the first reading seams to me very positive, talking about him facing his inner truth, and especially line 5 saying that being true will lead us together (is that a possible reading?).
On the other side, my side, 34,1 looks like a warning, and then again 54... does this mean that I shouldn't be instinctive? That I shouldn't engage in the complicated procedures of the 'invitation' and let him find the way to reach me if he really cares, to not put myself in a situation where my happyness will depend just on him? Or am I totally misunderstanding?

I don't want to do mistakes again, it is very important to me to understand him, to find the best way to deal with him in this delicate moment, and to handle the situation in a positive way.
Could you please help me again in understand the I Ching message?

Wait a minute, 34.1 leads to 32 (Perseverance), and 34.3 leads to 54. 34.3 is more negative.
Anaise, which line was it?

Internal hex: 27.2.3.4.5.6(Nourishment) -> 43(Separation, Break-through)

I think he wants to get to the truth, to understand his true feelings.
Line 3: He doesn't know what to do about you, mixed feelings.
Line 4: He feels you were a great team, but now he is alone.
Line 5: The need to unite, to have a deep conversation.

Leading to hex 14, Wilhelm: "The two trigrams indicate that strength and clarity unite." He wants to attain clarity of mind about the relationship.

Internal hex 27 kinda confirms his need for nourishment and break-through, but all the changing lines give me impression that he is confused about where to get it.


Also about the previous reading, 13.6:
The fellowship does not include all, but only those who happen to dwell near one another. The meadow is the pasture at the entrance to the town.
I think it speaks about the problems of living in different countries, and obtaining visa's.

it was 34.3 leading to 54.

Nigel Richmond says that you should wait for now, there are many possibilities arising, if you choose now you will get stuck.

Wilhelm and Legge also warn about using force/activity.
