16.4 > 2 Repeating hexagram?

I'm curious to know in general how others interpret a repeating hexagram.

A couple of weeks ago, I posted 16.4 > 2 in response to my question of 'should I contact my ex?' Ginni was helpful and suggested the I Ching was saying it was up to me, though in the context of the relationship not to place significance on reconciling.

Not too long after I asked 'what is the potential for us to come together in a new relationship?' and got 2.4 > 16.

The other day, I was in a very low mood - though not asking about my relationship with my ex - and I asked 'what would be most helpful for me to know a this time?' and I received 16.4 > 2.

Any insights on these hexagrams in particular would be helpful, and I'm also interested in how others view a repeating hexagram like this, particularly when the questions were different? Is the I Ching suggestion there is particular importance in these two hexagrams for me - perhaps aside from my questions? I'm also curious about the significance of the inverted second hexagram of 2.4 > 16?

I love this reading. I have received it several times. For me it meant mostly that I would 2 be receptive,set out to work 16 enjoy my own enthusiasm and music and line 4 good people would be there to enjoy it with me. Every time I get this reading now I am optimistic about the day. I know it will be a positive day and other positive people tend to surround me. I think with this reading you have to be open to the little things. The smaller blessings can be so enjoyable. As an example, I had it as a reading for a work day. I literally went to work, put on my optimistic and receptive hat. My co-worker played some good music when I got there and more people gathered around in good conversation. We all enjoyed the music and the company. Everyone worked well together that day. Solutions were easy to find to any task or issue that came up. I couldn't help but think back to the reading and be thankful for an awesome day.


The reading does come with a warning not have doubts or suspicions though. It's almost like as soon as you begin to doubt, the good fortune dissolves. 2 I see as being ready to do the work, being receptive to your surrooundings and others. And 16 has meant several things. Music, enthusiasm, sometimes illusions, sometimes the enthusiasm is not good, its more like being all worked up over nothing. Other times the enthusiasm is great. But line 4 I see, as others of the same kind will join in with you. Just listen to the music. hope that helps.

I got 2.4>16 more than a month ago when I asked "What can I expect when me and X meet the next time?" I still have no definite answer because we didn't meet yet. I tried to meet X once but they said they couldn't see me that time (the excuse sounded more like they don't want to see me than they can't see me though), and the truth is that we haven't even spoken on the phone since then.
At this point I'm not sure I'll ever see X again. There's still a chance I think but it depends on if one of us make a move or not.
