Hi. I have been deliberating on whether or not to post this, because it feels like a weighty dream, one of great importance. But I don't get it, and you all don't know me well. Perhaps I'm overreacting.

I dreamed that I was visiting with my parents in our old home. I was getting ready to leave when I looked up into the SW sky (from which tornadoes come in the midwest US where I live) and instead, there was a huge (I mean, like ten mile high) network of electrical power lines and poles. It was menacing in the extreme. I knew I'd had that dream before but hadn't remembered it. Then I was transported in place to the southwest US. There were still huge networks of powerlines, but this time, I understood that they were something like a matrix (as in the movie), there to guard and harness power for the elite, and to harm and keep the non-elite under control I looked around and there were cliffs and canyons, and First People were able to slip under the radar. They were extremely flexible and knew places to go where the "network" couldn't. The power was dark, dry, almost giving off a kind of powder that was cancerous, threatening.

This dream bothered me for days. I finally asked the Yi what it meant, and it said, 2.4 changing to 16. I have to say that I really don't get it.

Like most people, I have dreams, then I have Dreams. This was a DREAM.

The only thing I can think of would be that it must feel like this to the honeybees and the other critters that depend on electromagnetic readings to find their homes. Then, we are filling the airwaves with our electricity, which is harming them. But I don't see how 2.4 or 16 would have ANYTHING to do with this. I'd really appreciate any help on this.:bows:

I live in New Mexico and have learned from some Native teachers. So, this partially comes from what I have learned from them-- Perhaps there will be something that sparks your Knowing.

Hex 2 --of course speaks of the power of the Earth -- and a very different way of accessing power than obtaining it from the grid.
To access power from the Mother you turn within to your own heart. A heart that is genuinely congruent within one's self is also congruent with The Power of Earth. Literally, { This has even been scientifically proven -- you can go to Heartmath on the web to read scientific studies regarding this} The Grid that has been built by humans is believed by the Native Americans that I am familiar with, to interfere with the energy lines of the Mother. and the electromagnetic power of the human body as well. And there are those that CAN and DO , duck and evade the interference these giant Electrical systems generate. They do this by being conduits for the energy of Earth. They believe, as do I, that many of us Humans have either forgotten-- or perhaps never known,-- the Enormous power and presence of Earth. I believe that we are all facing the challenge of regaining how to find within ourselves the connection to our own hearts, the heart of planet , and our fellow beings-- human , plant and animal .

I see 2.4 [ "a tied- up sack " } as this power in a state that is potential but not used as of yet --perhaps a reminder that you have enormous natural energy that is not being accessed at present in your life. Have you lived a life more of the mind than of the Heart?

Hope there is something here that is of benefit

first thought I had was that, as in the dream, the network is a secret fact, well-hidden. 16 seems to imply awareness of the same

interesting dream, btw

just saw chushel's reply and the 'thanks' button is not there! but I like it. also, heartmath is a fine site, I love their work.

I was wondering if you were thinking of Project HAARP, the controversial American weather control facility. Supposedly something quite dangerous for all of us.

First, I'd like to thank you Chushel, Bamboo and Willowfox, for offering your excellent interpretations. I neglected to add a part that I think is really important now, and will tell you so that you can see how "right on" your responses are.

About twenty years ago, I had another big DREAM. I was with my mom; she went to talk to some friends in a nearby "nursery"--as in place where plants are cultivated. I went wandering close by, and ended up near a stream where an otter was sliding down the little river. I jumped in, like the otter, and landed in a place with iridescent flowers. From that time on, the dream took on whole new dimensions. I was up in the sky with a sky god, and we were joined shoulder to shoulder, like best friends, hurtling down into a house that had a cruciform shape. We went through the roof of the house, and there was a table below where he was being reborn. There were four monks/priests there, in walnut brown robes, with their heads shaved. Then, I looked up and we were surrounded by water, like an island. It was a heavenly place, like a juncture between Tibet, the American southwest, and the place where I lived. The next day I actually went to a bookstore. I rarely went there, but I knew something was there "waiting" for me. I was exhausted, and my kids were young (2 and 4). If people could use radar, I'd say that's what I was doing, because I felt like certain areas of the store were cold, cold, cold, then, there it was. I grabbed the book without even looking at it, paid for it, and went home. Fixed dinner for the kids, put them to bed, then started to read. At page 27, I read about a stream with iridescent flowers, and the rest of the book pretty much summed up my dream. It was written by a woman named Elizabeth Ann Scarborough (sp?), about Shambhala (sp?).

Another weird thing about that place was that my mom, my sister and a neighbor were all Christmas shopping about forty years ago. We were waiting at a traffic light near where we grew up, and we suddenly saw a light that was rotating around something really slowly; we thought maybe a weather balloon? We remarked on it to each other and I thought that since our neighbor's husband was a pilot for TWA and also flew small planes, that she might know what it was. Suddenly the lights started going faster and faster. Then it zoomed off. Even now, we're not really sure what we saw. It seems like the time/space continuum kind of warped, because in order for us to have experienced what we thought we did, we'd have had to sit at that light for like five minutes.

Now, these dreams and this weird occurence above all happened within about a half mile of each other. I swear I don't take drugs! My life and dreams are strange enough, difficult enough to comprehend without adding to the mix. I mean, I held down a very good job for thirty years before retiring, very responsible, have raised two kids well, etc. But then there is also this weird part of my life that I don't understand.

So Chushel, I'm VERY interested in learning more about what you have to say. For example, one night I started telling a story to my children about a brother and sister that found an old clock, and the story just went on and on and on, for about two weeks. Then it was over. I told a friend who works with the Sak and Fox about it, and she told a Hopi elder. She later told me that the elder told her that it has to do with an artifact of theirs which was stolen. I was invited to talk to him if I'd go out there, but my children were young, we were poor, and I missed the chance.

And Bamboo, thanks for the "hidden" part. You've picked out that particular thread, MAKING me to see it, and I appreciate it.

And Willowfox, you've hit the nail on the head. After this dream, I googled "electromagnetic" and "harmful" and that HAARP was one of the sites that came up.

I thank all three of you more than you can know. I wish I was smart or wise enough to understand all this, because I have a feeling that it's important. It's like I hear something in another language, but don't know how to translate it. You guys have translated it for me; I'd NEVER have understood what it was saying without you. I look forward to looking at the HeartMath site, and learning more about the HAARP.

A couple of slightly random thoughts:

- In my experience, something may feel menacing in a dream that is not really menacing at all -- it's just something that feels threatening to my ego. A dream about some great inner transformation might be represented as a dream about an apocalypse, a flood sweeping the world away, and be quite terrifying, even though the transformation is very positive.

- I wonder if this is a dream about some inner power (power lines, etc) that feels scary to you. Chushel's reading was very interesting, I thought -- "this power in a state that is potential but not used as of yet --perhaps a reminder that you have enormous natural energy that is not being accessed at present in your life."

- Is it possible that the SW direction has anything to do with the I Ching's use of the SW? the place where you find allies? I just mention it as you seem to be conversant with the I Ching

- In my own experience 2.4 often means something very real and present that I don't get to know about yet, if at makes any sense. So maybe both chushel's's reading of a power you have that you aren't aware of, and also "this dream is doing its work, but you don't get to know about it yet"?

I am smiling, because you have no idea how many times I have done this...went exactly to the place where the book i needed to read fell into my hands, in some cases describing almost exactly someting going on for me or something just gone through. it is so uncanny to have this experience that sometimes I just put it out of my mind, or shrug my shoulders and then forget (because it is too big to fathom almost)......but it is real and it is kinda like the iching, you cant really understand how the connection happens and that it is so accurate and so ...otherworldly

keep recording your dreams, keep writing!! we need you!

2.4 could also refer to the womb, the uterus.

Nancy,

I think Yi's saying that you were releasing deep old but intense energies, that had been kept away for a long time, out of sight.

Thanks for your consideration of these hexagrams

Hi, Knot. I've been a fan of Jungian psychology and dreamwork for many years, and what you said resonated so much with my questions. It's very possible that what seems menacing in a dream, may be just the subconscious' way of saying, "Pay attention!", and yet, I've found that I sometimes confound dream intentions. When, for example, are dreams talking metaphorically, and when are they speaking personally? And then when are they speaking of something else all together? I also wonder about that power not yet used? Yet that's kind of frightening as well. If we have that much power, other people do, too. That could carry conflict and oppression to a whole new level, even while it has so many implications for freedom and the mind/body/spirit integration. As for the SW direction? The Yi is so weird, isn't it? I mean weird in the old sense, where it makes the hackles on the back of your neck rise up. The fact that in my dream, it emphasized the SW, and then the hexagram did as well. A kind of AHA moment, maybe? As for the 2.4 interpretation, I have always hated secrets, but I'm learning (in my older age) to live with them. I guess that's what it will have to be for now.

Bamboo, you made me smile with your instant recognition of the "shopping as meditation" activity. But it does happen that way, does it not? I'm glad to see that you can empathize, and that it happens to you as well. Maybe you could share some of the circumstances in which this has happened some time?

Mythili, as 2.4 representing the womb? That's a new one for me. I'm really going to have to think about that one!

And Meng, it's so good to hear from you! I am hoping I'll be able to see your picture and poetic interpretation of 2 and 16, when/if you have time to share. For some reason, they always "speak" to me.

I hope you all don't think I'm being lazy. When I get something like this (big dreams, Yi Jing synchronicity, etc.) I usually go to several of the books I like most (Siu, Karcher, Anthony, the WB classics, of course, some Cleary, all in all about five or six of the twenty I've acquired over the years), and other web sites (Clarity, LiSe's, that lovely guy that LiSe's sites link to so often, Meng's photographic/poetic interpretations, etc.) and am able to sort it out. I know, I know. I'm not heavy on being scholarly myself, and perhaps rely too much on others to do it for me. But usually the meaning is very clear. Can't tell you how many files I have of questions, interpretations, sources, outlines for meaning, pictures, etc.

Either a) my old way of thinking isn't speaking this language or b) I have to figure out a new way to understand this. At any rate, thanks for your marvelous, thoughtful interpretations. I'm going to have to think about this for a few more days before I can make any sense of it at all! I know you all have better ways to spend your time than commenting on my lame questions, but I'm so grateful that you've chosen to share your insights with me!

2.4 - womb, uterus, a tied up bag, associated with pregnancy/gestation (as a dormant stage before birth). Just wondered if your dream, with its networks, wires and things going undetected (slipping under the radar) might be reflecting your anxiety about reproductive health (womb, fallopian tubes etc)? Or perhaps its just time to see your ob/gyn practitioner, and its been weighing on your mind? Perhaps none of this applies to you, but thats the imagery I got.

What an interesting thought!

Hi, Mythili. Of course now that you say this, it makes perfect sense, but I didn't really think it through when you wrote the first time. Thanks for taking the initiative and explaining it more fully. I've been putting off going to the ob/gyn, so now would be a good time to go, now that y ou mention it. Thanks so much for your take on this!
