Remember the Y2K problem, the millennium bug, the virus that was supposed to mess up every computer in the world and nothing happened, well 2012 is just more of the same nonsense.

Your thoughts when you asked your question, were about you and what will happen to you if anything, they did not encompass the world. It seems that some people as usual have taken your reading and greatly expanded on it, taking it into the realms of fantasy but your reading is for you not the 6 billion or so inhabitants of this planet.

Read line 23.1, it is Not about earthquakes, meteorites, or deadly viruses, it is about obnoxious people gaining strength and power in your own circle, it is about you being hurt and injured by gossip and slander, it is about nasty mouthy people who don't like you. So the warning of this line is to be extremely careful of people around you, as you indeed have enemies.

The Mayans had four calendrical cycles that returned to 0 on Dec.21st, but they also had four other cycles that continued on. Dec. 21, 2012 just marks the end of a 144,000 day cycle. The Mayan civilization did not exist - according to their own calculations - until after two cycles. They indicated it began mid-way, correctly. (from a longer post I made recently in Open Space )

Hi Selene,
Actually, calendars are based upon counting, so they begin in years ending in 1. Y2K was the culminating year of the 20th century and the modern millennium. The new millennium began in 2001, which is why the 9/11 attacks were so traumatic. They are noted in Nostradamus, he mentions the New City hit by 2 missiles and the air and water being poisoned. Seemed worse is his quatrain than the actual outcome, but he was working with a vision like getting the CNN video feed across 500 years.

The kind of thing expected in 2012 run from the super volcano under Yellowstone making a huge explosion or a global telethon with folks on their cell phones and wi-fi that hits the resonance frequency of the Planet's magnetic field resulting in a slight brake upon the rotation of the crust causing friction with the mantle underneath that keeps up the same angular momentum as before. Perhaps changing the pole star as the globe slides on the core and tectonic plates slip a bit, perhaps the Sun then rise a few degrees off due East. And of course the seas boil, the forests burst into flame, the mountains skip like rams and the hills like lambs. Nothing too serious as it seems to have happened a number of times and folks survived and wrote about it in the Bible.

Sun in Capricorn is Individual Quest for Firm Control, so it makes sense you would want to make sensible plans for the End of the World.

Hi Pantherpanther,

Your comments about the Mayan cycles are very sound to me. I haven’t read any book about Mayans -shame on me- but instead I found on the web some literature about it and I thought something close to what you said. It’s the end of a cycle and just that.
Thanks for your down-to-earth comments.

Hi Frank,
You are right Nostradamus wrote every prediction with a bit too much of …passion?
Or is that we became less sensible to everything happening around us?

Right, we are making more danger to our planet than the natural forces together.

And gee! Volcanoes exploding …Pangaea breaking again. …Seas boiling. Mountains skipping?? OMG! It sounds like a good material for Mr. Spielberg right? ...just kidding.

Yes, control, control, control you know that uh? :)

Here's a link I had previously posted, strangely it was overwritten by another link? All my links were being overwritten!?! by that mt-watcher link!

this gets to be a kind of crazy site if you poke around, so don't! is my recommendation! but hey, who knows!?

anyway , the article is about what may happen in terms of quantum physics and time space when we go through this dark rift area ...
personally, I think the sun will be affected by the opposing saturn jupiter positions combined with the galactic center alignment, the poses may shift, something like that.. or we could get flash baked by radiation ... something like what happened to Mars a long time ago ...

but the link is interesting, not saying I go along with it all, but it's a fun read.

Selene(I like your name btw) as far as I know and I can't say I really *know* but from what i do know what will happen is more on a spiritual and pyschological level.
I liked reading about Nostradomus, but, I'm not sure we can translate his verses to actually mean the 9/11 catastophre let alone anything else.
I figure there will be changes, yes.
I think Willowfox has a good point that if you were asking more about yourself and btw the Yi usually answers about yourself more than others, but if you were indeed asking more about yourself in 2012, then I would say--either on the level that Willow is saying is what wil be, or, if it is about the state of the world and you--then, I'd say you'd want to begin giving back to the earth what it is lacking.Something along those lines?:)
BTW, you're a Capricorn?If so I really like Caps.
Are you a Cancer rsing or Cancer moon then?(Selene);)

Hi Proserpine, you are very kind. I like my name too  My father took it from the Greek Mythology.
I liked reading Nostradamus too, but I have read some not very good things about him.
I also followed Solun’s link. It is a literature of not easy digestion -at least not for me- But it is interesting.
Yes, Willowfox is a wise and straightforward person. Definitely the Yi is talking about me and my circumstances in that time. About giving back, anything modifying the behavior and thinking of humans at least a bit, would be wonderful. We have gone too far in many ways.
And yes, I am a Cap ;) Just I don’t understand very much about the rest. I only know that I was born one Tuesday 16 th of January, 1951 at 10 .00 pm that’s all:p
Wish you good things,
Selene

Hi Selene.Ah, ok.your father called you Selene.I had assumed you chose it, hence I thought you might have a "Moon" rising or Moon-(Cancer) moon;).. but from what Bamboo says then you do not.
But it is indeed a lovely name..PaleMoon in essence. Selene.
Yes, I knew it was Greek.
I use preferably the Greek name (Persephone) but Proserpine is the Roman version.I never see it *anywhere* so it is easier to use as a "username".:pI have the Moon in Taurus also, which would indicate you and I both like to feel comfortable and secure(among other things).Anyway--nice speaking wiht you Pale Selene and I wish you many good things too.:)

Thank you so much Bamboo! Very nice of you telling me my ascendants. I like Taurus very much. There is within me a deep love for a Taurus who left 23 years ago ...so it is good to know that. Thanks for the link too :) I will visit it.

See you around,

Hi Proserpine! Yes my father. I was the only daughter and he wanted a femenine name. However some people think I am a man  It's very fun because some of those annoying marketing e-mails use to say "Mr. Selene" Lol.

Persephone or Proserpine is beautiful too. Is it the mother earth?

Thanks for you wishes

Hi Selene:)You are close, but no, not the Earth, or Mother Goddess..Persephone/Proserpine was the daughter of the Goddess of fruitfulness, and agriculture: Demeter.
Persephone is Demeter's daughter, who was abducted by Hades the God of the Underworld while she was picking flowers.
Demeter became so grief-stricken over the loss of her daughter that there was no more growth on Earth, no Spring, no flowers, no vegetables, etc.
Demeter convinced the head of the Gods, Zeus, who was brother to Hades,to allow her to have her daughter come back.
Since Earth was no longer flowering, and, he felt sorry for Demeter, Zeus allowed it..
But-- the condition was, Persephone should not eat anything before leaving.
Unfortunately, Hades tricked Persephone into eating a pommegranate before she left with her mother.
She still was able to leave--but instead of leaving Hades forever, she has to return for part of the year-every year.
Hence the story is the myth to explain the changing of the seasonsand especially the return of Spring.
Since Persephone goes into the Underworld (which is not quite Hell, more comparable to Purgatory), she is also a symbol of soul searching and re-birth, transcendence etc.
I won't go into all my personal reasons, but I have had to soul-search many times--probably I always will, as well as feeling I was fortunate to have lived through some awful life changing experiences, even some life threatening ones..
So I like the Persephone story.

Actually, I like *your* name better --I had wanted to be called Selena myself,;) and one of my Greek friends called me Selene for a little while.
It suits *you* though very nicely.:)
I'm glad to have met you here too. It's been quite nice chatting with you.

Oh!--btw, you said you'd long ago been very close with a Taurus?
My mother was a Taurus, and my husband is a Taurus!

Hi Proserpine!

Your name is as beautiful and interesting as every one of the names of the Greek Mythology. It has a wonderful meaning. I read also that it has to do with fertility, right?

Yes, my beloved Taurus was my son, the first one of my two children. He died when he was two years and a half. He had a stunning personality, awesome sense of humor and a sharp intelligence.

It was nice talking to you too.
A big hug,

Oh Selene.I hadn't known your Taurus was your son. That is too sad, too terrible for words.
I want to express something here and can't seem to, so please forgive me for that?
I do know, I am *sure* he was the most personable sharp and witty little guy.:) And I think, probably with your Moon in Taurus, you not only understood one another, the connection was *very* strong.Probably even before this lifetime too. We'll talk again .Thank *you* for your kind words. You're unusual for a Capricorn btw.Anyway, :hug:I'll be back.

Sending you a big hug too Selene. Has to be perhaps the hardest thing a parent can ever face. I agree with Proserpine, your emotional connection to your little boy is very strong.

I love the name Proserpine!! Persephone is one of my very favorite archetypes, one I strongly identified with for various reasons. me too, lived through wrenching experiences.. that made me afraid to leave girlhood behind....always have felt the connection to the 54 hex is important too, as Karcher calls it "converting the maiden" Kind of reminds me of the journey of completing the passage...since Persephone was abducted so cruelly, she was disempowered and longing for her mother. BUt when a persephone archetype completes the journey and finds her internal power, she can lead others on the journey through the underworld ..which can be a frightening place for the uninitiated. I find your words full of wisdom and gentle love, Proserpine:bows:

Please, dear Proserpine I have nothing to forgive, on the contrary I have to thank you from deep in my heart for your words full of love and sympathy. You have a wonderful heart.
It is really nice for me to talk about my little angel with a valuable person like you. It was terrible and extremely painful to lose him and at the same time it was a wonderful experience to have the honor and the joy of knowing him. He taught me so much in such a short time.
Yes, very strong connection and I hope and pray for it lasts as you say, even before this life time. Thanks again proserpine. A rain of blessings for you.
A big and tight hug,
Selene
