2012 and beyond..

Today I decided to ask the Yi about what's going to happen in 2012 or maybe later but anytime soon in a few years in our world, I got this:

Hex 59.1.3.5 to 26

I think this is a good example of wheter to focus on the changing lines or on the two Hexes as a whole.

IMHO I think is always important focusing on the lines as far as you don't have more than 3 active ones.. at least it worked well for me, IMHO.

Interpretation:

59.1 - Rely on assistance, a powerful horse is coming to help, events coming our way are actually help

59.3 - So people can forget about selves, dissolving their Ego

59.5 - An end time has arrived, but nothing is wrong


26 - There are lots of signs in the present time and lots of information from the past that already points to this change to another age for humanity.

LOL...

But I'm sure other may think I'm wayyy off the real interpretation...

maybe it's only telling to dissolve all you know (26) regarding dissolving (59) of the current state of the world.. playing devil's advocate here

One of the meanings of 59 is flooding or possibly tsunami.
59.3 suggests that whatever happens will affect us physically or bodily.

The great Velikovsky in 'Worlds in Collision' links the flooding of China in the middle of the 2nd millenium BC with the with the events surrounding the 'Exodus' from Egypt , the plagues and the rising of the Red Sea.

2012 and dispersal followed by accumulation.

Worst case scenario : a literal sweeping away of everything and dissolving of structures.

Our technological civilisation reminds me of the Titanic , in the 12th year , on it's maiden voyage. Humanity , at the dawn of intelligent life , has similarly built this huge technology to help it across the vast sea of space , which also happens to have large lumps of rock and ice flying around.
Or of the twin towers which collapsed in a day without warning , foreshadowed in Tarot card 16.

On the up side , 59 suggests help and rescue , recovery , and spiritual and material regeneration : success and sacrifice , king and temple , rescueing horse , dispersal followed by accumulation ( 59.4 and 59 - 26 ) and at last the 'blood' recedes.

It also suggests that the catastrophe is something of a blessing.
Possibly there is no future for ourselves or the planet on our current path and we need a major reorientation which does offer some hope for the future.
Perhaps mankind will be obliged to redirect his ambitions away from the machine and towards the spiritual reality of his situation.

Hm. Very apt Hexagram. Dissolving rigidity and outmoded institutions. And a background of great accumulation. Perhaps rather than a New World, new reality branches are going to be sprouting. Who you are and what you see in terms of perception and awareness will determine which reality you find yourself in.

I'm a realistic optimist which means I think we'll collectively have to go through the shredder to a degree which is inevitable. However, I think things will reach an equilibrium. Let's face it for most of humanity it's already a living hell so a bit of balance after some cataclysmic re-organising might not go amiss. And if its my time to wink out then I can't say I'll "rage against the dying of the light."

Absolutely. Maybe in 2012 it'll hit a peak. Or perhaps the following year. Either way, dates are fairly useless.

Predicting dates and times is a very tricky business , all the more so for the bigger non- trivial issues.There is an element of free will involved which complicates things , and there are many variables.

I think the bigger predictions and prophecies are written for more than one time and place and when the time comes people are told , some unmistakably.

There seems to be something different about 2012. It just keeps cropping up and won't seem to go away.

My first encounter with 12 was way back in 1980 while reading Brian Cleeve who published an interesting trilogy of spiritual works which includes prophetic material , some of it of a disturbing nature. He predicted that within 12 years our civilization would start to unravel , and the number just stuck in my mind.

Then I remembered that the Titanic came to grief in 1912. I' ve always felt that the Titanic might just be a symbol of our civilization and a sign for our times.

Next I heard about Mckenna's work which predicted a future of escalating change finally culminating in a period in late 2012 , when change runs out of control and goes off the scale. He also drew attention to the Mayan calendar which stops in 2012.
Immanuel Velikovsky also writes about the Mayans , in a cataclysmic context.

Curiously , and most unusually , and possibly while reading up on the Montauk phenomenon I came across rumors about cia experiments in time travel ( I dont see why not , any more than why say the speed of light should be an ultimate measurement ) and I remember the writer saying that for some reason they couldn't get past 2012.
