22.3 > 27 and 11.1.3 > 7 career

I asked the i ching.

Am I being realistic in my ambitions to be repped by a bigger acting agency?

I received 22.3 > 27.

Then I asked: what would be the consequences if I sign with a smaller acting agency?

I received 11.1.3 > 7

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Hi, I'll give it a shot, but let me warn you - I hardly ever comment on other people's readings, so am a novice when it comes to others. But, I feel like a mooch because I get so much out of this forum that I feel like I should be giving back.

I think 22.3 comes with a warning to not go over the top with it. That maybe this is a good thing and has the potential to provide accolades, fame, fortune, beauty, etc, and even nourishment.... but on the other side of it, if you consider Bradford's take, it can be overdone, that all of this moisture can seep in spoil what's inside. I've also seen other comparisons in the forum that allude this line to drunkenness. And the Fan Yao (corresponding line in Hex 27) of this line specifically mentions denying true nourishment and cutting yourself off from the source. If I received this reading in response to this question, I would want to reflect on what my higher goals are in regards to acting. That maybe to look into who I am as an individual (really am, not a veneer that I want society to see), and if going with a larger agency is aligned with that. Another thing I'm curious about would be if it were an actual reflection on larger agencies themselves. I spent a good deal of time in meditation over 22.3 a while back, one of the things I really took from it was the saying all that glitters is not gold. To quote Shakespeare:

"All that glisters is not gold;
Often have you heard that told:
Many a man his life hath sold
But my outside to behold:
Gilded tombs do worms enfold."

I almost think that Yi isn't really commenting on how realistic it is, but rather asking you to ask look beyond the surface and to look deeper into the issue as to what you really need in this process. I don't know if that makes sense....

In regards to 11.1.3>7, Wing's commentary on 11.1 is "Actions that you might now take, particularly those actions that are connected to the welfare of others, will meet with good fortune. You will attract others and find co- operation among those who have goals similar to your own". And 11.3 is basically about life being comprised of ups and downs, but not to worry, just to enjoy the moment. To me, I get the message that by going with a smaller agency, you would find a team, people that you are in tune to, moving in the same direction. But, it's not an easy race to the top. You will have hard work and slopes to climb. And you will need discipline (or maybe you find discipline) (Hex 7).

I know you didn't ask for which direction in which course to take, but overall, if I got these two readings, I would say that a smaller agency would be the better route to take.
