This is my first time posting here, but I've utilized the forums quite a bit in gaining greater clarity concerning the meaning of my readings.

Anywho, I've been down for a while. It's my last year of college, I have a very vague idea of where I'm going in life, and I've been having trouble getting over a botched relationship with someone I've been close to for years.

I don't do this often, but instead of a straightforward question to the I Ching, I wrote about a paragraph sincerely expressing my doubts and feelings, which was essentially summed up by saying: I'm depressed and aimless and I wanna get back on track. My question was phrased, How can I best correct these complaints? I received hexagram 27, with lines 1, 4, 6 changing. It seemed like a fairly auspicious reading, but I just wanted to ask you all what your analysis was of this situation, and what the meaning of it changing to 'Enthusiasm' might mean.

Line 27.1 suggests that you are down because of the relationship and now you feel envious of others around you who are not only in good relationships but enjoying themselves as well. So, the advice is to snap out of it, stop thinking about your ex and stop being jealous of others.

Line 27.4 suggests that you want a relationship, you are feeling empty inside and need a special someone but you need to come out from under your stone and mingle with the world again. So, stop with the self pity and self interest first.

Line 27.6 You are in a position not only where you can help yourself, as you know that you can but also to be the life of the party once again.

Hex 16 You need others to bring you out of your "depression", so you need to socialize again, to party with the people.
